About this apartment rental

Extremely spacious 3 bedroom apartment recently renovated and enjoying superb sea views. The apartment itself is within a short walk (5 mins) of the main ferry terminal to Wemyss Bay and is also close to all amenities that can be found in the town of Rothesay. 2 bedrooms with double bed, the other with bunk beds, which makes it ideal for family getaways, or couples alike. The stunning, professionally designed and installed kitchen diner with seating for six and a large tv is a welcome place to enjoy cooking or a glass of wine after exploring the many things to do on the island. Or you may even prefer to just relax in the beautiful ballroom sized sitting room, enjoying the warmth of the wood burner watching the smart 3d TV with many apps Inc Netflix You Tube and BBC I player. There is free unlimited Wi Fi together with a Blue Ray DVD. We supply all toiletries and linen tea coffee etc. There is a gents and ladies bike in cellar 3 or 4 and a full set of golf clubs should guests wish to borrow. This holiday let has 156 five star reviews and
we really take a pride in it and wish to give you a great place to stay when visiting this beautiful island. Many of our guests stay here year after year and I really appreciate their business. Bute is a wonderful island with many places of interest to explore including Mount Stuart which is a must. The beaches at Scalpsie Ettrick Bay and Kilchatten are beautiful and
extremely safe. We are so close to Rothesay beach you can hear the waves from the flat.
For those not travelling by car the bus stop is right outside our door and there is an open top tour bus that will take you round the island during the holiday season. We are very busy during the holiday season so best to book early to avoid disappointment.

This is a delightful well-equipped flat overlooking the harbour and only a few minutes walk to the ferry docks and shops. We were on the island during a two day storm with high winds and rain and yet we were cozy and comfortable and well-entertained in this flat. We would love to come again for another stay. There are still paths and beaches to discover in this beautiful island. And the residents were warm and welcoming.

The apartment is so beautiful inside with a wood burning stove and cosy bedrooms and living space. There is more than enough space and the host is very accommodating and friendly. We felt right at home here.

This flat is fantastic, clean, spacious, and wood burner makes it very warm. Shower great, appliances all easy to work , view fabulous. Cupboard with mini bar, fantastic idea , honesty box brilliant , drink and replace . Easy walk to town centre , all the better when walking home from bars . Enjoyed our stay and loved all the ornaments ,so much to my own taste unbelievable . Thanks Gordon x

I had a wonderful time in Rothesay and having accommodation which was central to the town and harbour was a bonus.The flat was lovely and very spacious, clean bedding and towels were provided. The kitchen area had lots of space and dinning table so you could sit and chat over meals….tea, coffee, sugar etc was provided, ready for you to have that refreshing cup of tea whenever you wanted. The bedroom was also spacious although the bed was too soft for me and dipped in the middle. There was no plugs at my side of the bed which was a pain as I liked to lie and read on my iPad but I couldn’t charge it without getting out of bed. The apartment was pet friendly and my dog Marley was with us, he loved running around the vast hallway and from room to room. Marley settled very well in his new surroundings. Overall this is the best holiday apartment I have had so kudos to Gordon the owner.

the apartment met our expectations from the description on the website, it was very spacious, warm and comfortable. The kitchen was very well equipped. the location was very good just a short walk to the town centre. The whole family enjoyed our stay at Lighthouse View. It’s a lovely holiday apartment with wonderful views of the bay and beyond. A lot of thought has been given to making a visitors stay a hassle free experience with a plentiful supply of towels, wood, and a drinks cupboard too. There’s a bus stop across the road should you fancy a car free visit to Mount Stuart or one of Bute’s sandy beaches.

Owner Gordon was easy to communicate with. His place was a fantastic size. Living room had lots of seating although we didn't get a chance to use the living room as we were out and about at Bute festival afternoon and night. Loved that the bus stopped almost outside. Well equipped kitchen. Lovely bathroom, we brought our labradour and he was on the beach a stones throw away. All and all a great flat to visit Bute.

This place is in an excellent location, close to everything you need in town, plenty of space within the apartment. My husband and I enjoyed drinking tea in the evenings while listening to the waves and playing chess. Gordon was very detailed with the check in process and with overall communication!

We had a lovely time in Bute. Excellent location. Appartment had everything in it that we needed. It is very spacious. The views from the living room were stunning. We loved watching the boats coming in and going out from the harbour. Excellent communication with Gordon the hpst when we had a couple of queries. He respindee immediately. We would return again.

The flat was everything we could have hoped for. It was spacious, clean and very well equipped. Gordon, the host, has thought of everything that you could possibly need. we were a party of 5 adults ( Mother, Father and 3 20 somethings) and 2 dogs. We loved the view of the water and watching the boats. Food from local takeaways was excellent and delivery was quick. Weather was awful but we still managed to go to Ettrick Bay and Mount Stuart. Bute highland games took place on the Saturday of our stay. We were a little apprehensive about the ferry but the journey over was flawless. We appreciated the fact that as the flat was unoccupied the night before we could have early check in. Thanks Gordon.

The flat was lovely. It catered beautifully for our needs. It is a short walk from the town centre and the views over the bay are excellent. All of the rooms were excellent and very much suited any needs we had. Loved the modern kitchen and the information folder was very welcoming and specific. Would thoroughly recommend a stay here.

The property was a charming combination of contemporary and traditional. Lovely place. Everything was supplied including the beautiful view of the bay and Rothesay. Walking distance to town. Communication and accommodation from Gordon was exceptional. Only sad we won't be able to revisit in the future. Highly recommend.
