About this house rental
Casa Mimosa is a lovely 3 bedroom/3 bath adobe home located in Santa Fe's Historic Eastside. Tucked away at the end of the lane in a grove of mimosa and apricot trees, this multi-level home features the best of everything—location, modern amenities, quiet privacy—along with traditional Santa Fe charm. Indoors, enjoy the well-appointed furnishings and contemporary New Mexican art; outdoors, luxuriate in the natural beauty of the garden in one of three sitting areas.
Short walking distance to Canyon Road galleries, restaurants & cafés (10 minutes), medium walking distance to downtown Plaza, Cathedral, museums, and shopping (20 minutes), longer walking distance to Museum Hill and Railyard Art District (25 minutes). You can step through a secret shortcut located in the crotch of a tree nearby (or find the neighborhood gate close by) and enter a path that will lead you to historic neighborhoods filled with beautifully-renovated adobes. Enjoy the fresh mountain air as you trek over to Museum Hill or stroll to Canyon Rd. to explore the many galleries and restaurant options available to you. The perfect hideaway to enjoy all that Santa Fe offers!
The home features the charm of an old adobe (traditional adobe walls, hardwood floors, Viga ceilings) with all the convenience of a recent remodel (excellent lighting, big modern bathrooms, wifi connectivity). The well-equipped kitchen features modern appliances, a kitchen island, and granite countertops. The primary bedroom on the entry level has an en suite bathroom with a relaxing soaking tub. The 2nd full bath on the same level has a step-in shower. The lower level features 2 bedrooms and a full bath with a tub-shower combination.
Both lower-level bedrooms have private access to a portal patio sitting area. The portal features an outdoor stove and lap blankets for cozy visiting even in the colder months! Casa Mimosa is spacious with room to spread out or come together. It is the perfect vacation spot for friends or family.
Note that one guest room has two twin XL beds that can be easily made into a King bed for couples. The house also includes a washer and dryer. There are four easily accessible off-street parking spaces.

Casa Mimosa was an outstanding home which was well located to access museums, art galleries and many great shops and restaurants. The hosts responded quickly and provided helpful advice.

My adult daughter and I stayed 5 nights at Casa Mimosa. We had a wonderful vacation helped by staying in a wonderful house. We appreciated: comfortable beds/bedrooms, a well laid out kitchen with excellent appliances, a welcoming living/dining room, and wonderful outside patios. The house is in a very quiet area, which was important to both of us. We slept so well.Casa Mimosa is an easy walk to the Plaza, so we had excellent access to museums and dining without needing to drive. The only time we drove was to go to the museums on the hill (plus it was raining that day). We did have some rain, and we were so grateful that the owner provided umbrellas for us. There is so much to see and do and in Santa Fe and such outstanding restaurants. The ease of access to these features was excellent from this property. I have visited Santa Fe 6 or 7 times, and Casa Mimosa is by far the best place I have stayed. We plan to visit and stay here again.

Casa Mimosa provides a premium Santa Fe experience. It is located in the Eastside Historic district at the very end of a private drive, yet is still within easy walking distance of Downtown Subscription. The garden is filled with birdsong (one morning our birdsong apps identified 7 different species). The house itself, with its three bedrooms and two-and-a-half baths, comfortably accomodated three of us without crowding. When we entertained old college friends who live in Santa Fe, there was ample dining space, a well-organized kitchen, and sufficient dinner and glassware for a dinner party.
And the house itself is charming, beautifully decorated, and exceptionally well-appointed. We have stayed in many wonderful places in Santa Fe over the years, all worthy of five stars. But each has always had some small flaw or flaws that have diminished the experience — e.g., no reading lamps or spaces, not enough electrical outlets, inadequate dishes or glasses, lack of closet space, inoperable TVs, etc. There were no such problems at Casa Mimosa. The owners have thoughtfullly anticipated all the needs of their guests and have made provisions for them, even including a first aid kit. The informational book they have compiled about the house is first-rate.
We highly recommend Casa Mimosa and would certainly stay here again.
