About this house rental
In the heart of the Périgord countryside, the Chestnut is one of three stone lodgings built in an old barn. Completely renovated, it offers boutique accommodation with stone walls and exposed beams.
Fully equipped (including a washing machine).
On the ground floor :
Large open room kitchen, dining room, living room, comfortably furnished, with a double door opening onto a private furnished terrace, with a barbecue.
Upstairs :
Two bright and comfortable bedrooms. One bedroom with double bed and one bedroom with three beds (including 2 bunk beds).
Shower room, separate WC.
For the winter season, this cottage is also equipped with a wood stove on the ground floor and electric heaters upstairs.
The Chestnut's terrace overlooks the swimming pool and the children's playground. Ideally located for a family. Parents can enjoy the shade and comfort of their patio while having the opportunity to supervise children having fun.

Just spent a week at Bouillatou - now under new management.
The property we stayed in - Chataignier - is of excellent quality and typical of the region - elegant in it's understated simplicity. We were there during record temperatures (consistently over 35 Celsius) and the cottage maintained a very agreeable temperature.
The location is perfect if you're looking for somewhere quiet, yet not far from the usual Dordogne tourist attractions.
Bouillatou has a good range of facilities; we used the pool, bikes (for all the family and more), table tennis, badminton and tennis - and found them all of good quality. There are other facilities too, like the new on-site driving range and a good selection of board-games, books and DVDs.
We found Thomas - the new manager - and his family to be extremely hospitable and helpful both before and during our stay.
Highly recommended as a great location for exploring the Dordogne or simply getting away from it all for a while!
