Great home from home apartment approx 20 minutes walk from the centre of Taomina. Lovely living space, comfortable sofa, well equipped kitchen and huge variety of herbal tea bags! Fabulous balcony and very comfortable bed. Great shower pressure. Good air con. Reassuring when driving a rental car to be able to park off road and so near the apartment. Host was great, superb communication and lots of info. Didn’t have time to use the swimming pool! Little supermarket, excellent gelato and good restaurant all within very easy reach near the arch without having to go into central Taormina.
Driving in Taomina is not for the faint hearted, it’s a pretty narrow and very hilly route to get to the apartment. Parking is charged at €15 per night which feels expensive but very few other options.
There is some road noise from the motorway that goes through the central Taormina but you zone it out very quickly.
