Maji Moto Maasai Cultural Camp

Wir fühlten uns vom ersten Moment an wie ein Teil der Familie und wurden liebevoll als Schwestern begrüssen. Die Menschen vor Ort sind unglaublich herzlich und stecken spürbar viel Herzblut in das Camp. Die angebotenen Aktivitäten gaben uns einen grossartig Einblick in das Leben der Massai – sie wirkten niemals aufgesetzt, sondern ehrlich, respektvoll und authentisch. Das Essen war ausgesprochen lecker (insbesondere das Frühstück), und die verschiedenen Essenslocations waren bisher die schönsten unserer gesamten Reise. Wir haben auch eine Nacht in der Ecolodge verbracht und müssen sagen: Auch wenn das Cultural Camp nicht mit der Aussicht der Ecolodge mithalten kann, empfanden wir es als deutlich authentischer und persönlicher.

Amazing location on 200 acres of wilderness. Here you can have a true break away from the hustle of daily life, absorb nature, and enjoy genuine Maasai hospitality. The owner and his staff go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable as possible. We had a snoring neighbour, but were given alternative accommodation as soon as we complained, and a very nice surprise the next morning to compensate our disturbance. A walk in the hills in the morning or later afternoon is a definite must!

This is an experience that lasts forever. The hosts were amazing! Very friendly stuff. We learned a lot about the Maasai culture. When you go to Kenya, this place is a must ...

Authentic and quiet, a wonderful getaway! And a great way to learn more about Massai culture through fun experiences. Bike riding with zebras was amazing. There is even a "throne" bathroom and a shower (using water from the hot springs) with a view! Enjoy :)
