Great Alpine holiday in a cosy Grainau village

We had an accommodation in "Alpenkrauter" apartment. The location in Grainau is peaceful and very good if you are thinking the closeness of slope areas (both Classic & Zugspitze). Also cross country skiing tracks are very close - only problem was, that during our visit in February, there was no snow in the village level... Apartment itself is very clean and cosy. Well functioning for three adults. Beds were very good and bedlinen clean and nice.

The fact that there was no snow in Grainau village during our visit was bad. Obviously there's nothing to do to that fact, but it was still irritating. Cross country skis we brought all the way from Finland (and paid a lot of money for the transportation) were useless.

Exceptional

I LOVED this place! I don't know if it was the snow and the view of the mountain that made it magical but the location looked like a postcard. I rate this place excellent. The host was very helpful. I had an arrival time set but due to traffic issues I was not able to arrive on time. I arrived well over office hours but when I contacted the host to ask for the password of the safe to obtain the apartment keys she was very helpful. Please know that the password to the safe was sent in advance but could not get to my email at the moment. The place was very nice and very clean. It was like a mini house! The only reason I rated comfort good and not excellent was only that the heating was not sufficient. Not sure if it was not working. The host offered to come over to adjust it.

Jó helyen lévő kellemes szállás kisebb családnak is, szép környezet, sokfelé jó kiindulópont.

A környezet szép, tiszta, nyugodt. A rendszeresen közlekedő Zugspitzbahn füttyét is hamar megszoktuk, nem volt zavaró, a tehenek kolompolásával együtt hozzá tartozott a hely hangulatához. A kilátás pazar a környező hegyekre. A szállás tágas, 3 embernek tökéletes.

Kicsit a konyha felszerelése lehetne több. Mi önellátók voltunk. A csészék kicsik voltak a nálunk megszokottakhoz képest, esetleg müzlis tál is lehetne, a sütő fura, de azért sikerült rájönni, hogy működik. A belépőtérben nem praktikus a szőnyeg, nehéz tisztán tartani, a kutyaszagot is beveszi, a külső ajtót így nyitva hagytuk, amikor csak lehetett. A zuhanyzótálca nem praktikus, hamar kifolyik belőle a víz, minden mosakodás után nagy tócsát kellett feltörölni. A parkoló tágas, de szabadon áll a fák alatt, nekünk jó időnk volt, de viharos időben veszélyes lehet ott parkolni. Ezek igazából apróságok, nem vonnak le a szállás értékéből lényegesen.
