This home is stunningly set amidst the splendor of the Pacific Ocean, just a short stroll from Seaside and Ten Mile Beaches. A quick drive south will lead you to MacKerricher State Park and Beach (five miles), horseback riding opportunities in Cleone (five miles), and the heart of downtown Fort Bragg (nine miles) where you can ride the legendary Skunk Train, tour the Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens, and admire the treasures on Glass Beach. The house had plenty of space for all of us to sleep comfortably, a stunning beach very close, interesting communities close to us (Fort Bragg and Mendocino), other beaches to explore, and a hot tub! With the huge rocks on this beach, sunset photography was spectacular!

The house was big and everything we needed was there. Just across the street is a trail to stairs for beach access. The beds and sheets were comfortable, and the kitchen was huge. We used the BBQ and hot tub, and everything was working perfectly. The game room was a hit! We loved the shuffleboard, ping pong and poker table. We didn't have any issues with the Wi-Fi, I saw other comments that said it was spotty. We had such a good time, we asked to extend our stay, and it was available. Vacasa got right back to us to work out the details, nobody wanted to go home. I highly recommend this property and would love to come back and visit again!

Quiet neighborhood, short walk to the beach. Huge house with plenty of room for large gathering to spread out. Very clean, well kept, beautiful home. Communication with the property managers was simple and easy. Many of the games in the game room were unplayable(broken ping pong table, no ball for the foose ball table, no darts, and the hot tub was dirty, but the host got us sorted out fairly.

The house was great. We had several family members from out of state and we came together to eat meals. Very kid friendly with the game room. The back yard was great fro grilling. All in all it was a great place that suited us well.

This house was absolutely wonderful for the majority of our group. It is spacious and was SO CLEAN upon our arrival we kept talking about it all week! Especially considering the amount of decor that could easily be dusty, we were so impressed. The location of the hot tub was great, as you could see the ocean, and we loved watching the family of quails that was living in the bushes run around the front lawn. The only complaint we had was the internet. The details of house do say that the internet is spotty and that you should print any directions or anything you need prior to arriving but we didn't read that until we had arrived. Most of us were fine with this, but we were traveling with a preteen (probably enough said!). Again, this won't be an issue for everyone, but it's worth calling out prominently for those who know it WILL be an issue for someone in their group. Overall it was a very comfortable house.

This house is large plenty of room for a family or couples' traveling together plus it is in a great location. Things to do, grocery , restaurants and an awesome butcher shop are only a few minutes . There is direct beach access just a couple of houses away, down some stares for the sunset or just a day on the sand.

This was our first stay in this home. In prior years we have stayed in another home nearby. I do need to report that we prefer the other home. Below is a summary of the positives and negatives of this home. Positives: The home is very large. There are three sources of heat in the house - two of which are gas fireplaces - so we always stayed nice and warm. You do have a view of the ocean from the rooms facing the ocean, but there are some obstructions (houses across the street). The game room was fun and is quite large. It is a very quiet neighborhood (other than the wonderful sounds of the ocean). Beds were nice and rooms were good sized. Nearby is a walkway that goes down to the ocean where there is a wonderful beach. Negatives: While it is a 4 bedroom home, one of the full bathrooms is located on the opposite of the house from the bedrooms. It is actually located next to the laundry room and the game room. The master bedroom has its own bathroom. Located next to the master bedroom are two other bedrooms (each with queen sized beds). These two rooms share a bathroom. At the other end of the house is the third full sized bathroom which contains a jacuzzi tub. It just seems to be located in an odd area. For our stay, one couple used the bathroom that is between a bedroom and the master bedroom, while the other couple use the bathroom located at the other end of the house. In addition, while we loved the layout of the kitchen (it is very large), we found many of the dishes to be dirty. There were only 2-3 larger 10 oz sized glasses. We also found the refrigerator to be hard to open. Lastly, the kitchen contained only one fry pan (an 8" omlet pan) and a very large cast iron paella pan.

The beach was amazing here. What a treat to explore the rock formations at low tide, have the beach almost to ourselves, enjoy either the walking beach access just across the street, or the driving access just down the road which was great for our littel ones. Our crew could have enjoyed the whole day there even though it was rainy. We also loved relaxing and warming up in the hot tub and playing ping pong.

The property was very nice. Lots of room and rooms for everyone. Very quiet area and close enough to town if needed. Only negatives were couches were not very comfy. For such a large kitchen they need a good frying pan set. Game room was a hit with the kids and the hot tub while it needs some tlc was nice in the evening.

The stay was amazing as always. Everything was clean. Only minor negative is the chairs on the deck are rusted and broken. We enjoy sitting on the front deck in Morning and have coffee. The chairs were in poor condition and not safe to sit on. Please get new chairs. Other than that, we would definitely stay again.

We did not wish to extend our stay with a late checkout as we left a day early. Very unhappy with the accommodations. I would have notified you earlier however my phone wouldn’t work there I couldn’t email, nor did the WIFI work only one person at a time and very slow. The furniture was sparse and very uncomfortable. The only comfortable chairs were those facing the TV, we didn’t come to watch TV. The view out the front window which could have been spectacular had no chairs. There was a stiff wooden rocker and a funky low chair din corners (no view) without a table to set your non-working phone on. The beds were high, soft, and hard to get in and out of. It's not easy for elderly people to have to climb into these beds they should have had a step or something beside the bed, There were no condiments. I’m not digging into sugar bags everyone else has had their hand in. Who knows how old they were? How much is a box of sugar or creamer packets at Costco, how about a Keurig pot we can bring our own pods you supply the condiments? The décor looked like it was great grandpas and garage sale items. The chairs at the dining table were like sitting on five-gallon buckets they were so broken down, and in the breakfast area, they were plastic and should only be used by children, scary for adults. The beach access was not there. I walked down to the beach access, and it had a sign this is not a beach access it was ¼ mile north, so I walked it and if there was any access, I didn’t find anything but weeded lots. I did get a call that the dryer was broken, thank you, a little inconvenient for the ocean. The towels were so rough it was like drying with a scratch pad. Take the skin right off. No dishcloth in the kitchen and only a couple of dish towels. We ran the dishwasher, but you will get a few bad reviews. Thank God for a good family and the beautiful ocean we could have stayed in a motel and had better amenities. How this house is kept is shameful. We will not be using it again

We rented this vacasa for our annual family vacation to the coast. The Rosebud Retreat was so spacious and comfortable. We had so much fun in the game room playing ping pong and shuffle board. The hot tub was so relaxing after a fun day exploring the Fort Bragg area. We will definitely be renting the Rosebud Retreat again.

We enjoyed this location and neighborhood because of the quietness and closeness to the ocean! Falling asleep and waking up to the sounds of the ocean was spectacular! This home is very large so accommodating a big large groups is nice. The kitchen was well equipped with things for basic cooking of meals etc. Having 3 bathrooms was great however the water pressure was an issue as well as not having hot water for showers/baths if more than one person was using at the same time! The hot tub was nice but was dirty when we went to use it the first evening we were there. I called and they sent out someone to clean it the next day! The overall cleanliness of the home was a bit poor as there were spider webs/spiders throughout the house; the bathrooms had soap scum in both tubs; the floors had hair that was left by previous renters (I’m assuming); so this left us feeling like we needed to disinfect/clean before we could use anything! Ugh! Not what I had expected to have to deal with on our vacay! We made it work and made the best of it! But I was very disheartened as I thought things would be properly cleaned for us especially with renters being charged the cleaning fee!

This property was perfect for our family. It's so spacious and set up perfectly. The bedrooms and game room were on opposite sides of the house, so we were able to relax in peace and quiet, as others are engaging in friendly competition in the game room. The kitchen was really nice and had a beautiful view of the ocean. It was nice to open the windows and hear the ocean, while cooking or relaxing with a cup of coffee. The house is well stocked with everything you need. The kitchen had most things you would need to make a big dinner, but if you plan on cooking several dishes at one time, you may want to bring a few extra pots and pans. Overall, the house was clean and comfortable. The best part of this property is the beach access. There is a nice little path to the beach, just a short walk from the house. The beach was AMAZING. It was so beautiful and we had it all to ourselves most of the time we went down there. We highly recommend this property and we can't wait to go back!

The house was beautiful and the location was amazing. So nice to fall asleep to the sound of the ocean. The house has a ton of space and we had a blast in the game room. Internet was awful! So bring a book. We were surprised by the owners knocking on the door Christmas morning while we were unwrapping presents asking us, when are we leaving? We paid to leave the day after Christmas. Then the next day was check out time 10 am. The owner was in front of the house at 9:58 waiting for us to leave watching us say good bye in the driveway to our family. We paid tripple the amount to stay here. The owners could of gave us some breathing room. It kind of creeped us out. We all left at 10 am. With the owners pulling in as we pulled out.

The kitchen is huge and well supplied with plenty of everything we needed. Even a teapot. Beds are super comfy. Two jacuzzi bath tubs! The hot tub was very nice as was the game room. Table tennis anyone? A quick walk to the beach provides hours of fun exploring and racing the waves. Amazing rocks to climb and beautiful sunsets, best enjoyed with close family and a bottle of wine. Rosebud is our favorite Fort Bragg get away home. Clean, beautiful and full of good times.

Lovely spacious house with lots to do - don't even need to leave the house! There were 8 of us staying at the house, enough room to spread out. Beds were comfortable, game room is awesome - proximity to an amazing beach full of sand dollars was such a treat. We'll definitely come back. Two recommendations for owners: 1) need more information on the light switches - spent a LOT of time flicking switches to find the correct ones for the desired lights. 2) perhaps label the kitchen - this is a LARGE kitchen (awesome) things were spread out and didn't make sense (to the 8 of us) how things were stored - perhaps on the inside of the cabinets you can label what goes there so guests can find things, AND put them back :-) LOVELY PLACE!!!

New family tradition

New family tradition

We recently stayed in this beautiful house with our extended family. It has been a family tradition to go to Fort Bragg and stay in a home with family to just relax and reconnect with one another.
Rosebud was incredibly gorgeous, clean, and cozy. From the fun game room to the beautiful living room that had an incredible view of the ocean. Opening up the windows to hear the ocean from any room in the house. We enjoyed the large kitchen where we celebrated a birthday during our stay and had plenty of room to eat, celebrate and be merry.

Our family has agreed that this is definitely the house to continue to book and we are already looking at future dates to book our next stay. Our daughter enjoyed the private beach where she found several whole sand dollars, a kids dream!

Thank you so much to the owners of Rosebud for allowing us to stay in such a beautiful home where we could come enjoy our family and disconnect from the day-to-day. After this past year with the Pandemic, it was just what our souls needed. We cannot wait to go back.
