Summary:
This gorgeous villa is uniquely decorated with custom tapestries, each an individual work of an artist. Ceiling fans are generously placed, circulating gentle sea breezes throughout the home. Each suite has individual temperature controls - both A/C and quiet, high quality ceiling fans.
This first level 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom unit additionally features a gourmet kitchen, living room and terrace with Caribbean views. Castillito del Caribe is located right on the Malecon, a perfect walking or running trail along the sea, or take an easy stroll to breakfast, lunch or dinner. All the Isla Mujeres excitement is so close, but you'll be reluctant to leave this property.
There are 4 terraces, 2 are on the East side of the property, all with spectacular views of the Caribbean Sea. Our rooftop terrace offers 360 views of the entire island! The ground level terrace has an inviting Baja Shelf splash pool, with a Fountain and bubblers. It transforms into a stunning water feature when the lights come on at night. Bask with your favorite beverage in a lounge chair in the pool, sit for a relaxing soak or let the little ones enjoy the shallow area. A sweet second level morning coffee terrace is perfect for watching Isla Mujeres come to life at the start of each day.

There are very few Oceanfront villas with a private pool located DOWNTOWN in El Centro - where all the action is! Just two blocks from the Ferry Terminal, across the street from the Mexican Navy base where there is plenty of parking (very safe!). Our full service concierge can help you with all reservations - tours, golf carts, in-home massages, private chefs and more!
Getting Around:
Castillito del Caribe is just a short walk along the Caribbean Sea to restaurants, shops, nightlife and Playa Norte (North Beach) which has been ranked #1 Best Beaches in Mexico! Since this home is close to all of Isla Mujeres' downtown action - restaurants, shops, nightlife and beaches NO GOLF CART IS NEEDED (avoids sobriety checkpoints ;-). Although you may want to rent one just for a day to explore the enchantment of the rest of the Island.

Rogelio and Dawn were very helpful getting us here. They responded quickly. We were thankful.The main road was closed for construction so there was more traffic noise than normal I'm sure but once we went to the back of the house, the view, the sound of the ocean waves, and the pool took all negative thoughts away. We loved our stay there. The house was so well equipped. The kitchen had everything you could use to make dinner, They use a drip coffee pot for coffee. The food is so magnificent every where, why cook? The house was provided with games, puzzles, even a cribbage board! I will say the wifi was slow and spotty The house is concrete which may have been the reason for that.The house provided beach chairs, snorkel gear, as well as detergent and sun lotion. The Malecon is a magical place to walk in front of the house. Do not, and I mean it, do not leave there without a massage and pedicure from Mimi at Mimi's Spa two doors away on the Malecon. Both will make you rethink any massage or pedicure you have ever had in your lifetime. The location was so perfect for my soul. There were places I came to adore a few doors down. Little Geckos for a nightcap, definitely La Lomitas, and Suenos de Sarfil for a bite overlooking the ocean. We never had a bad meal anywhere we went. We did get a golf cart and used it to take beach chairs, saved 30. ur favs eats were Rosa Serenas, Lola Valentinas, Rolandis, and the Soggy Peso, a bar with a pool inside. Enjoy!

My hubby and I had a great stay. We were close to everything and loved the pool/terrace area. We had everything we needed and loved having a local contact for questions or services. I loved seeing the dragon mural every day!

The propery was in a fantastic place. Can easly walk to anthing on the north end. Nice quite location, and the pripery manger is great. Very tesponsive

We really enjoyed staying at this condo. The place was very cute - decorated sort of hippie, bohemian, island style. Everything that you could need was there. My 10 yr old was tickled with the pool right outside the main room slider. The place was clean and within walking distance to the ferry, golf cart rental and local restaurants. While this location has a beautiful view of the ocean and is right on the water, it is not on a beach. However, beaches are within walking distance, as well as, shopping and dining. Highly recommend renting a golf cart and exploring the island. There are many restaurants to try on the South side of the island. Hosts were super responsive with great communication and suggestions. Highly recommend this VRBO!
