About this house rental
A true vacation oasis for the family that loves beach and boating! This gem is located right on the wide St. Martin River in Ocean Pines, with a water view unmatched anywhere in Ocean City. Pull your boat up to the dock, load up the family and head straight out to the open water. 'River Bliss' is clean and fresh indoors and out, with modern kitchen and bathrooms, delightful decor and 2 fantastic decks overlooking the deep shimmering water right outside the door. The yard is an open playground that kids adore, with fishing and crabbing right off the dock. There is parking for up to 4 vehicles, or 3 vehicles and boat trailer. Ocean Pines is the perfect destination for families, away from the hubbub of Ocean City but with a private block-long beach at 49th St. with included parking and beach club, so you don't have to fight the crowds when you're ready for the ocean. Lots to do for everyone, with swimming pools, tennis, championship 18 hole golf and private walking and jogging trails right outside your door . 'River Bliss' says it all--book your vacation today.
This is the Home for Your Vacation: This house is truly special and is reserved by the same families year after year, who value the privacy and quiet of Ocean Pines, yet want quick access to fun in Ocean City. The boat dock right outside your door is fantastic, right on the deep St. Martin River. The view from the shore and from the decks is one of the best in Ocean City. The opposite shoreline is the last long stretch of undeveloped riverfront in the entire area, still quiet and mostly natural. Sunrises and sunsets are equally stunning. The home has been renovated with new kitchen appliances, and a complete exterior renovation. It has to be experienced to be understood, so peaceful yet so close to everything. There is nothing like the feeling of 'River Bliss'.
A Few Important Details: Occupants are limited to family groups only. No sororities, fraternities or non-chaperoned groups are allowed. You must be 24 years of age or older to obtain a rental agreement on a property. Should a group misrepresent themselves, they will be evicted immediately without a refund. There is no landline at the home. Telephone is not provided.
$300 security deposit is required. Deposit is returned within 7 days after satisfactory inspection.
Rate includes beach parking pass, which allows one (1) car to park at the Beach Club daily. Guest will be charged replacement cost for lost parking pass. Guest may purchase swimming pool passes from Ocean Pines Recreation Association. Pool passes are not included in the rental cost. Golf fees are extra.
Linens and towels are NOT included. Cleaning after your stay is required and is $100 additional per stay.
There is no landline phone at the property.

Myself, my husband, our daughter (22 months), and my Mom had a wonderful week here. The river views from the upstairs balcony and dock couldnt be beat. Our daughter loved shoveling the backyard pea gravel into her bucket and sitting at the adult and child sized picnic tables on the back porch. Loved all the outdoor seating to watch the river boats and birds. Having access to the Ocean Pines pools, playgrounds, and beach club (with parking) was perfect. It was an easy 15-20 minute drive into/out of Ocean City (as long as it was a week day). We loved having tasty restaurants just a few minutes away (Pines Public House, Southgate Grill, Don's Seafood, PopCs ice cream).
We loved having 2 stories of nice open spaces for all of our daughter's toys and books. The rooms on the upper level are bright and sunny. The kitchen was plenty big enough, and we really appreciated that Kevin provided a new on counter microwave while waiting for a new above stove one to arrive. The washer and dryer worked well, and we always had hot water and great water pressure. If you have a young child, be sure to bring a standard size baby gate for the top of the stairs.
I gave a 4 star rating on cleanliness because of having a toddler - i.e. I'm on my hands and knees all the time so see a lot of dirt and hair on floors, in bathtubs, etc. “Normal” adults probably wouldnt even notice (lol) The carpets were freshly vacuumed upon arrival and most surfaces were clean. A great house with a wonderful view! We loved being able to dock our boat for the week and not have to go back and forth to the boat ramp everyday! Amazing memories were made!

Upon arrival the initial impression was that the house seemed mostly clean/dated, but workable since the river + the beautiful decking was pretty amazing. In the first 2 days we quickly learned that the description on the website, which had to be pretty old, was no longer valid. "Renovated...inside and out, updated modern kitchen and updated bathrooms"; this is not what we discovered; issues w/shower doors sliding unattached; the positive is the water pressure was always very good/maintained shower temperature well.
The bedrooms, particularly the "twin" bedroom + kitchen both had an abundance of ants. We had to take our granddaughter out of that bedroom when she saw the ants climbing. We switched rooms, cleaned everything. Went to Ace, bought a bunch of recommended Ant Bait/Killer for bedrooms/kitchen. It was disturbing when an ant walked up my hand while I was sitting upstairs living room reading., I thought we had taken care of the problem. Another positive note, the furniture in both sitting areas is very nice and clean.
First day - dishwasher was full of dishes that we assumed prior renters had run for us. Started putting dishes away, discovered most were clean top shelf, bottom shelf apparent breakfast pans and dishes w/dried eggs etc. Dirty dishes in cabinets/drawers. This was not the family vacation I had requested add'l information about.We bought $$ of frozen foods for quick meals - microwave did not work.Will not rent again. Disappointed.
