Villa VS

The property itself was very cozy, clean and fully equipped. The living room area is large and the couches are comfy. The massage chair is a great plus! The staff (the owner actually) was very polite. The pool was great and so was the garden/barbecue area. We even managed to have our own summer cinema (the projector was mine) and watch movies every night. Overall it was nice experience. The island is very close to Piraeus and that makes it very easy to travel to.

Privacy was not guaranteed. The owner lives in a small house behind the vila and he might show up for various reasons eg check if you have guests or if you use the barbecue while windy, even slightly! We didn’t manage to use it at all. To be fair it was not that often he would show up, but after a certain point just knowing that someone was in the same property made it weird. The last day even that the check out was at 11:30 we didn’t manage a swim in the pool because the robot vacuum was in since 9 am that day.

We really enjoyed our stay at Villa VS. Varna and Vasili were great hosts. They were welcoming and very helpful but also left us alone to enjoy our holiday and the villa. (And Varna made us delicious Greek donuts.) The pool is great, with a good deep end and is very clean. The villa has beautiful sea views and is fairly close to a sweet seaside village Souvala, with a small supermarket and some classic Greek restaurants. It’s about 20 mins drive from Aegina Town where there is more nightlife and shopping. And other corners of the island have great beaches and seaside restaurants. The whole island is very laid back. There isn’t a ton of sight seeing to do but if you want to relax by the pool, eat out and swim in the crystal clear warm sea it’s ideal. We took out a boat from Aegina with ‘Skipper John’ from ‘Rent a boat’ - their kiosk is next to the ferry ticket huts along the front. We also did a day trip to Athens to see the Acropolis. And we rented a car on the island for less than half what it would have cost at Athens Airport - though no where near as modern!

Spacious Villa with everything you need to stay for short or long vacation. Everything is super clean! The hosts Vana and Vasilijs are super friendly and hospitable. You can feel that they genuinely care about you and will make sure that your stay is unforgettable.

You need to buy food in advance because there is no walking distance to the nearest shop.
