Charming Cottage Getaway, 5 minutes east of Bellport Village

We stayed at Susan and Alan's home for a month shortly after the birth of our son. The house is lovely; a recently renovated master bedroom and bathroom on one end, updated kitchen, two small additional bedrooms and second bath on the other end of the house. The house was comfortable for a couple and baby, and there was also space for family to visit periodically over the month. There is a beautifully landscaped backyard and screened in porch as well. The area is great - gorgeous walks around the neighborhood, a nature preserve and a short drive to nearby Bellport, which has restaurants, shops and some entertainment. Alan and Susan gave us a tour of the home prior to booking (we live in the city and were therefore able to view prior to making a decision), met us at the cottage when we moved in, set us up with everything we needed to know, and remained available by phone and email throughout our trip. They could not have been kinder or more accommodating and we look forward to returning.

I have stayed at several homeaway properties as a frequent traveler, and really enjoyed staying at this one. The neighborhood is safe and friendly, and was close to my jobsite. The property was clean, the kitchen well equipped, and the house light and airy. I found dealing with Susie the landlady very easy, and she dealt with the one small issue I had ( a malfunctioning smoke alarm ) very quickly and without fuss. I am looking forward to staying here again this fall.

This is the ideal house for an easy, relaxed, peaceful, stay, you immediately feel at home and on vacation! The location is great and very private, which is hard to find, and the hosts could not have been more accommodating. The house is big enough for a family of 4 but not too big for a couple. I could not have found a better home away from home.
