Spacious one bedroom apartment with a sofa bed offering a sea view sleeps four

The property was really lovely and in the most perfect location, a stones throw to the beach! It was so spacious and clean and had everything you needed. Easy to reach all the local amenities and just a 10 minute walk from the train station.

The bed was a bit soft for my liking but that is purely personal preference.

Location and facilities

No serious problems, but the water was very slow to drain in the handbasin in the bathroom.

Location space. Comfortable, very well equipped. Loved it.

We could not fault anything.

The flat is in a central location in Broadstairs, is a good size for 2 people, had a well equipped kitchen, and the flat was bright and light with great views of the sun rising over the sea. Check in with the lock box was easy, although there’s no light outside the building and as we arrived in the dark this did mean juggling with suit cases and a phone torch. We enjoyed morning coffee looking out of the window, and the location is perfect for being able to walk to everything Broadstairs has to offer. Parking outside is pay and display, but we parked on the well known free roads just a few streets away and didn’t need to use the car for the duration of our stay.

Standard of cleaning wasn’t great - surfaces hadn’t been dusted well and our socks were covered in hair and fluff from walking around the apartment. The shower was mouldy and in desperate need of re-grouting. And I had to throw out the cooking oil that was supplied as it went out of date 8 years ago!!! We were told before we arrived that the TV was broken but that it would be sorted during our stay - I was sent instructions to reset the TV which I did and it didn’t work, but I received no further communication when I informed them of this. So for the duration of our stay we had no TV, which isn’t the end of the world except there’s no radio in the apartment (we resorted to good old fashioned fun and completed a puzzle we found in a drawer (sadly lots of pieces missing but we persevered)). Frustrated that they didn’t follow through with their promise to fix the TV, which scuppered our plans for a night watching a film and chilling after busy days of sight seeing. And there’s been no offer of a good will gesture to compensate us for this. Whilst the apartment is bright and well furnished, it feels it is lacking a bit of love and care and the communal entry to the flat feels pretty run down.
