Charming Vintage Apartment with Spacious Garden and Warm Hospitality

We had a wonderful stay at this apartment! The vintage and carefully curated decor made it feel like a true home. The spacious rooms and large, fenced garden were perfect, especially for my dog who enjoyed the safe outdoor space. We were warmly welcomed with a delicious pan brioche, which was a lovely touch. Overall, a fantastic experience!

The only downside was the Wi-Fi, which was a bit unreliable.

Adorable vintage style.

This was our favorite place to stay. Host had a lovely vibe and the property was so interesting and comfortable. We loved that she had a loaf of some delicious bread with rhubarb jam for us and a wonderful well equipped kitchen to cook in. We loved having so much space and two bathrooms. This is a place I would like to stay multiple nights.

There were some type of little black flies, but it didn’t have anything to do with the property. It was just the town and they were only outside.

It is really a great house and great hosts. Their kitchen is very well equiped and they have a marvellous collection of cook books. Their cake was delicious. We will come back.

Restful week spent with family.

Great quiet location, not too far from Auxerre for any supplies etc. Stephanie and Franck are lovely hosts. Super quiet leisurely time with plenty of interesting places to see within easy driving range. Very empty roads.

Very nice and comfortable accommodation. Lovely hosts, who baked for us a brioche and prepared a marmalade for breakfast. Very tasteful interior. Lovely garden with a fence for our dogs. Very french and very nice.

the host, the house,the location were all perfect.the rooms are extremely spacious, clean and equipped with everything I can think you might need. the host and hostess are extremely welcoming and were very accommodating with our later than expected arrival. the welcome gift of brioche loaf and apricot jam was delicious.

the name of the house maybe off-putting for some English speakers. to be clear the locality is called orgy. so don't let the name put you off because this place is fantastic. I was disappointed we were only staying for one night. would love to have stayed longer and hope to in the future.

What fantastic find!

This was self-catering, and the kitchen was a dream kitchen. So comfortable and extremely well-kitted out! Perfect for a chef and foodie like me. We only stayed here with the 2 of us, but the kitchen is a host dream.

We wish we could have stayed longer. We wanted to stay away from the crowds and decided on this lovely cottage in Orgy, close to Chevannes in Bourgogne. This area is known for its excellent wines and the stunning city of Auxerre, which I covered in a previous post. Auxerre vineyards are one of the oldest in Europe, actually from the 2nd century! A must-visit when you are in the area. We only stayed here for two nights. I could have stayed a lot longer, but being on a 6-week road trip, you must make choices. We use a lot of dog-friendly cottages, but this one was the nicest and best one we ever stayed in. The owners are lovely, and Stephanie had made pain perdu and cherry jam to welcome us. The village has great walks, either with or without dogs. The area of Auxerre is very popular with cyclists. Make sure you stay there for more than two days as it is worth it, and there is so much to do in the area. Thank you, Stephanie and Frank, for a great time! We had a fantastic time in Orgy. The house is sooo beautiful and there are so many things to discover. The kitchen is fully equipped. There is literally nothing missing and everything is well-maintained. Plus we had a parking at the property. It's definitely a place that we recommend to friends and family.

Wonderful house and location

What stylish accommodation! Actually just our stop on the way back to Germany, we spent 5 wonderful days here. A house with character and ambience, furnished with a lot of love for details. A little time travel with comfort. Wonderful and very nice, personable hosts who greeted us with brioche and jam and put fresh vegetables and herbs on the garden table. Thank you for a few relaxing days in great surroundings. Absolutely recommendable with dog and children! We will definitely be back!

Only the (still only) bathroom is a bit cramped for 4 people, but a second bathroom is being.

A far too short stay in such a wonderful home.

I absolutely adored this property! I was so sad to only stay one night. We were on our way back from the south of France so stopped off to break up the journey. The house is exquisite. The attention to detail, the cleanliness, the welcome and homely feel made it one of my all time favourite holiday homes! Stephanie was very welcoming and she couldn’t have done more to make us feel comfortable.

The only section I marked this property down on was location and that’s only because I know so little about the area. We really didn’t see much of it at all, especially as we arrived on a Sunday evening and almost everything was closed. Maybe it’s unkind to mark it down as actually the location for us was perfect as all we needed was to be a certain distance from Calais. I just felt 5* would not be an honest review.

Large, modern, and clean house with one of the best equipped kitchens we’ve encountered; beautifully decorated with antiques and other curios; attention to detail is evident everywhere; onsite parking; very good WiFi with a portable router that can be taken room to room; friendly owner who speaks some English if needed; welcome gift of a homemade brioche and blueberry preserves; very convenient for visiting Auxerre and Beaune; ranks as one of the best places we have stayed.

Ein Haus zum Wohlfühlen

Wunderschönes Haus, so liebevoll und gemütlich eingerichtet, einfach zum Wohlfühlen. Sehr gut ausgestattete Küche. Geräumige Zimmer und bequeme Betten. Schöner Hof / Garten. Für die Kinder gab es Fahrräder und eine Tischtennisplatte und wir haben sogar noch eine Wippe bekommen. Gute Ausgangslage für Ausflüge. Stephanie und Franck waren sehr herzliche Gastgeber. Zur Ankunft haben wir sehr leckere selbstgemachte Brioche und Marmelade bekommen.

Gîte très joli, décoré avec goût. Excellent rapport qualité prix, très bon accueil de l'hôte. Accès très simple. Notre séjour était très court à l'occasion d'un mariage mais nous aurions pu y rester plus longtemps avec plaisir!

Très belle ancienne maison, magnifiquement décorée dans les moindres détails, jusqu'au linge de lit et serviettes superbes - Stéphanie est en plus extrêmement sympathique - Chambres très confortables, 2 salles de bains nickelles - Au calme, mais à 10' de voiture d'Auxerre (à voir très joli) - Brioche et confiture maison - Vraiment à recommander :-)

Dès notre arrivée, nous avons ressenti une atmosphère chaleureuse et accueillante. On sent vraiment qu'il y a du vécu dans cette maison, ce qui lui confère un charme unique. Les détails de la décoration témoignent d'une attention particulière et d'une histoire riche. Un grand merci pour la délicate attention de nous avoir offert une brioche maison, qui a ajouté une touche personnelle à notre séjour. C'était un vrai régal ! Nous avons passé un moment inoubliable et nous recommandons vivement cet endroit à tous ceux qui cherchent une expérience authentique et conviviale.

La salle de bain au sous-sol peut sembler un peu basse de plafond pour les personnes de grande taille.

Volledig uitgerust en gezellig huis in de buurt van Auxerre

Geweldig uitgerust huis en ook erg gezellig ingericht. De communicatie met de eigenaren ging heel soepel en was prettig. Bij aankomst heerlijk vers gebakken brioche brood gekregen. De auto kon op terrein geparkeerd worden. Het hondje vond het fijn in de omheinde tuin. Auxerre, Chablis en andere prachtige (wandel) plekken liggen in de buurt. Je kunt ook heel fijn werken in dit ruime huis. Echt een aanrader!

C'était parfait ! Excellent gîte et très bon rapport qualité/prix !! note de 5/5 ou 10/10 ou 20/20 ?? rien à dire. Véritable petit musée qui nous conduit dans les années d'autant, avec une réelle collection d'objets d'autrefois .... Un accueil chaleureux et convivial des propriétaires des lieux, Stéphanie vous régale avec brioche, confiture et café/thé pour le petit déjeuner. Avec tous nos remerciements, Les Normands (76).
