About this chalet rental

Samoëns is a French commune located in the southern department of Haute-Savoie, in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, adjoining the Swiss border. Village of the community of communes of the Giffre Mountains, the municipality had 2,396 inhabitants in 2015. Its ski resort and ski area merged with the Grand Massif ski area.

The municipality of Samoëns is located in the heart of the northern Pre-Alps in the Giffre Valley. This mountain town is one of the largest in the department of Haute-Savoie. The valley of Samoens and its nine hamlets are distinguished by the wealth of its heritage and a continuous activity throughout the year, mainly led by winter and summer tourism.

The chief town is located at 703 meters of altitude, but the town culminates at 2,666 m at the forefront of Avoudrues.

We hebben met 8 personen genoten van ons verblijf in dit Chalet. Eventueel hadden we hier ook met 12 personen kunnen verblijven, er zijn genoeg bedden. Bij aankomst viel het ons direct op dat het chalet veel leuker is dan op de foto's van de website wordt gesuggereerd. Maar dat is misschien wat subjectief, als je van een strak interieur en een zeer opgeruimd en geordend huis houdt dan kun je daar een andere mening over hebben. Het chalet staat vol met (grote en kleine) kasten en letterlijk alles wat je kunt bedenken is aanwezig. Servies en bestek is er voldoende, zelfs voor het hele dorp ;-) Allemaal niet echt nodig natuurlijk, maar wel heel gezellig. Kortom: als je voor de Franse charme gaat is dit chalet een heel goede keuze. Wil je liever een modern, strak interieur dan kun je overwegen een andere plek te kiezen. De bus naar de ski-lift stopt op 50 meter van het chalet, ideaal! Kleine boodschappen zijn op een paar minuten loopafstand te verkrijgen in het gezellig centrum van het dorp. Wil je voor de hele week eten inslaan dan ligt er een grote Carrefour op nog geen 10 minuten rijden van het chalet. Mochten we ooit weer naar Samoëns gaan dan zouden we dit chalet zeker weer overwegen!
