Ideally located on the unspoiled southeastern coastline of Hawaii's Big Island, the Turtle Paradise is a spacious Polynesian-style condo for your dream vacation in Hawaii.
The Turtle Paradise is a true one-bedroom condo, not a studio. It has two full levels: level one includes the foyer, bedroom, and bath; level two is the great room, which runs the entire width of the unit and comprises the living room, dining room, full kitchen, and full-length lanai. The great room has soaring vaulted, wooden beamed ceilings and ceiling fans in both the living and dining rooms. The lanai has two beautiful teak dining tables and seating for four.
Amenities include:
—a fully-stocked kitchen with new appliances, including a full-size refrigerator and range, microwave, coffee maker and grinder, rice cooker, toaster, and more
—top quality beach chairs, a beach umbrella, mats and coolers
—washer and dryer

Very cute place. The Hawaiian theme decor was done in a very classy way. Very clean, well set up for guests. ( extra towels, laundry, bath and kitchen soaps, coffee, etc)Comfortable and the owner was very helpful in telling us about the area and where we should purchase our groceries.

Husband, two kids and I visited Hawaii for 3 weeks, this being the 2nd of 4 places we stayed.
Upon arrival, the code we received to unlock the door was incorrect. Luckily for us, whoever had last entered the unit had not closed the door entirely, so we were able to enter the condo anyway. Once inside, we got on the wifi (no cell coverage here for us using AT&T) and found a contact number in the info folder. They responded promptly to our iMessage and we did receive the old code to the door which worked.
The bedroom downstairs had a very nice bed, and the room stayed a comfortable temperature. Unfortunately, we had to put our kids in that room because we would stay up much longer than them. We slept on the pull out couch which was very uncomfortable (similar to 2 of the other 3 we slept on on this trip, so it's not exclusive to this condo). The condo has big sliding doors with screens, great Jalousie windows (love those so much), shades for the windows, and three fans just in the main living area, but despite that, we could not cool the place down in the evenings. The light was not working on our balcony, so we did not sit out there in the evenings. Without kids, we would have slept well in the cooler bedroom. The apartment was well stocked, had good beach gear, three awesome porch geckos, a nice pool, and close parking.
As for the area, we drove to the National Park two days, and to Hilo one day. We didn't have much to do, and wish we had given this area a max of two days. Food trucks were very unreliable, and we often found them closed. Markets close early and selection is limited in the immediate area. The black sand beach is very beautiful - but we couldn't swim with the kids because it was rough waters.
Bottom line - great place for a couple looking to unplug and unwind.
