I spent two nights at Zostel Mcleodganj in a 6-bed female dorm, and the experience was incredible from start to finish. A huge special shoutout to Zia, who is genuinely the best host and property manager you could ask for. Right from the moment I arrived, he made sure my check-in was smooth and effortless. As a solo traveler, feeling comfortable and safe is my top priority, and Zia went out of his way to make sure I felt right at home throughout my stay. The 6-bed female dorm was clean, cozy, and super comfortable, in fact, I met one of my now close friends who happened to be my roommate! The housekeeping and cleaning staff were prompt and attentive, keeping everything spotless. The rooftop common area was easily my favorite spot, it’s an amazing space to sit back, soak in the views, and get some work done comfortably. If you are traveling solo to Mcleodganj, I cannot recommend Zostel enough. They really listen to you and help you out girlypops! Huge thanks to Zia and the entire team for making my trip so memorable!

If you are a non-smoker, I would not recommend booking this hostel. The room has only one window, which opens into the lobby, and cigarette smoke constantly comes into the room from the lobby. It can be very uncomfortable if you are sensitive to cigarette smoke.

People talk of Naddi point for the sunset view, but i got my best sunset of the trip sitting right at the top of my hostel. Zostel McLeodganj is located at a walkable distance from main market, has splendid views of mountain ranges from its terrace. Lively ambience, clean washrooms & linens. The staff on the reception is extremely kind and friendly. The housekeeping staff is also very helpful. The current volunteer and an amazing DJ is full of life and suggested great cafes and changes in my itinerary that made my trip all the more unforgettable. If you're looking for a hostel in McLeodganj, be it as a solo traveller, a couple, or a group- don't even think twice, just go ahead and book this place. It'd definitely be your best choice.

Room was not properly cleaned, missing dustbin, missing garbage bag, bodywash and shampoo dispenser was empty after requesting , they filled it with water, didn't given toiletry, after asking they gave for 1 day and next day I had to ask again, room decoration was also not as per images.
