We stayed here over the Easter weekend and was 80% happy with stay. First of all, its a lovely looking Grade II listed building and the grounds is nice and very spacious to walk around. Our room was standard double and nice and clean which is always a great start. We used the swimming pool and spa facilities which is average by comparison to others but OK to use and unwind. We didn't have dinner there as we chose to eat out but we did have breakfast which is a combination of continental & hot English buffet. Our only point here is that they do not have butter, only margarine on offer! Sleeping wise, was very good for us, comfy beds but.... where we were located was close to the laundry area and unfortunately was woken up around 07:00 due to loud noise from that area that went on for about 15mins. Would I go back again?....Umm, as I said from the start its a lovely building and grounds with interesting history so I may just re-visit if they will give me a different room!

The property is well maintained, and the staff was courteous and helpful throughout. I was also lucky to enjoy some great weather during my visit! However, the dinner menu had very limited vegetarian options — just a burger and fries — and given the location, there aren’t many eateries within walking distance. That’s one area where improvement would be appreciated. Overall, a pleasant experience.

Fire alarm went off constantly! Not any explanation Zero sleep And was expected a refund And after 2 weeks nothing back… The lady Caroline was helpful however still not got a refund

One night stay in a standard room. Beautiful room, hotel and setting. Staff attentive who are very friendly, will definitely be staying again sometime. Breakfast very tasty, lots of choice.
