The Sayoo Resort offered everything that we could have asked. The staff were very friendly and helpful (as were the other guests). Breakfast was standard but always served promptly with a smile. The location plus the heat demanded the regular use of a Tuk Tuk which were affordable and easily obtained. Many good restaurants in the area.

We stayed here a night before flying out of sri lanka. The place was a bit hard to find and maps would lead us and the cabs we later used to the different road. The room was spacious and nice and the staff was very warm and welcoming.

We arrived at 6am after a night flight from the UK. Before I made the booking I messaged the property to say that we would be arriving at 6am and to ask if this was a problem and I was told that it was not. When we arrived however there was no one around. I rang the property and after 30 minutes someone turned up and opened the door to one of the rooms without any apology or an explanation of the aircon/ WiFi etc. The room was a smoking room and smelled awful. When I went to find the person who had showed us to the room he was gone. We were so tired we just put up with it. The main reason for booking this hotel was the pool however it was far too dirty to swim in.
