    Very disappointing and stressful experience. I arrived at Travelodge Wellington around 9:30 pm with my exhausted four-year-old son after a very long day. The room had already been fully paid for in advance, but I was asked to provide a physical card for a security hold. I didn’t have one with me and offered Apple Pay, which their system would not accept. I was then told I may not be allowed to stay and would have to leave, and that they would “try” to refund me. I was shocked. I was in a different city, late at night, with a very tired young child and no car. I understand hotels may have security policies, but this requirement should be made very clear before arrival, and I expected much more understanding and effort to find a reasonable solution. A very upsetting experience.

    Perfect no frills room. Clean and comfortable. We stay here often when we have a night in the city. Rooms are simple, a little tired in places some wore wall paint but if that doesn't bother you, it's a great room in the city for a fantastic price. We're always out exploring anyway, so it's a place to rest our heads in-between.

    This hotel really wants to be fancy, but our room had no AC, no bathroom fan, very average facilities and a shower over a bath. Its further from the city than I thought being right at the end of Willis st.
