The hotel is really lovely - newly refurbished with a modern feel. Ample free parking, welcoming lobby and very clean and comfortable rooms - except for the extreme heat! This is obviously a known and ongoing issue - the thermostat never dropped below 25 degrees and a massive fan was provided in the room in anticipation of our needs. It helped, but didn’t fix. On top of this the security window only opened a couple of inches so it was all but useless (especially when there was lots of noise from the wedding guests below, despite this being a ‘quiet’ room. The loud hum of the fan helped drown that out!) The hotel cost *** the price of others in the area but there were additional ‘add ons’ too: breakfast wasn’t included and a latte was ***!! Want to use the gym? That’ll be an additional ***, thanks. Taking your dog to this pet friendly hotel? Another ***, if you will. We totally accept an additional cost for for our dog but it’s normally covered at the booking stage when the dog is noted, not as a surprise additional charge on check out (that said, this ‘surprise’ was very well handled by the team at the time and their professionalism was very much appreciated) In summary it’s a real shame as this place could be great (if you remember to take ear plugs, eye shades and are allocated a room with working ac) It appears to have capitalised on weddings and they have loaded costs on at every possible opportunity. Staff were very professional and helpful but ultimately, this just didn’t feel like good value for money, which is a shame, as otherwise it has a lot going for it.

Wedding package great food very good . A little quick to get us out of the room post wedding breakfast.No coffee ,this would have rounded off the meal . Breakfast in morning I was asked to pay extra for Earl gray tea ....I ask you !!! And cold plates for hot breakfast ,had to ask to be put in microwave to heat up the plates. How ever overall a very pleasant stay Rooms nice Spa looked lovely

very strict in the reception room.eyes all over from staff making sure no drinks get smuggled in.if drinks wasn't overpriced there wouldn't be a need to.wedding was fantastic. rooms lovely.

Seemingly a lovely hotel and has the potential to be amazing. On entering the room everything seemed okay however there was a wedding on both nights we stayed and our room overlooked the outside area of where the wedding parties were being held so really noisy from people chatting and the music etc . The hotel may want to think about which rooms people are placed in if they are not part of the wedding party . Room also dust lamps hadn’t been dusted for a good amount of time , tv stand dusty , grout in the bathroom needed a scrub . Not what you’d expect from a 4 star rated hotel. Fire alarm went off on the first night we stayed , we exited the building through the nearest fire exit however there wasn’t anyone seemingly taking charge of the situation , once the fire alarm was turned off we had to re enter the building to find someone to ask if it was okay to come back in . Breakfast the first morning was an absolute shambles , not much of the hot food left at 9.15am and no one seemingly keeping an eye on things running out until it was too late , it took about 15 minutes for them to refill the hot items however the beans were still cold . A lot of the tables on both days were covered in dirty breakfast dishes . It wouldn’t be somewhere I’d recommend or return to for an other visit which is a shame for the amount we payed to stay .
