Whoopers Hostel Bir

Whoopers is a really cool and welcoming place. The staff is nice and the overall vibe of the place is really great.

It is a good property with a great hostel vibe to play games and chill with friends.

One of the worst stays I've ever had. I booked a private room and was put up in a kitchen. And I don't mean a kitchen converted into a room. I mean an actual kitchen, with a kitchen slab, sink, tap, cabinets, and even the hole for the gas pipe lol. They literally put a single bed nd a stand fan in the kitchen and called it a private room. The kitchen itself is tiny, like the kitchen of a small 2BHK apartment. The only window overlooks the mesh fence of the neighbouring property. That's your view. You also share a bathroom with around 10 other people. It seems to be cleaned only once a day, so most of the time it smells pretty bad. The location isn't great either. It's tucked away inside a residential area and you have to walk around 10–15 minutes through dark streets to reach the main market and café area. Usually when a place is away from the action, you expect peace, views, or nature. Here, you get none of that. What really gets me is that they've clearly spent a lot of effort on the outside. Colourful walls, themed decor, lots of Instagram-friendly touches. From the outside it looks lovely. But I wish they had put even 1% of that effort into the actual guest experience. I also saw the dorm next door and some of the bed railings were broken. I've stayed in plenty of hostels over the years and honestly haven't seen anything quite like this. The stay was so bad that I checked out after the first day and moved elsewhere. I happily lost that money because staying there felt worse. Bir has plenty of nicer hostels. I genuinely don't see the point of staying here.
