West City Motel

Stayed one night after booking online, cheap accommodation $130 per night for stand alone cabin, cosy and warm. Very clean. Incorrectly advertised online as reception open till midnight for check in when in fact it closes at 6pm, staff couldn't contact me in regards to this as agoda doesn't collect guest information to pass on to accommodation.

This was by far one of the worst accommodation experiences I’ve ever had. The room was filthy, unkept, and completely misrepresented in the listing. What was advertised on the booking site looked like a modern, self-contained unit—but that is not what you get. What I was given looked nothing like the images. I was told the room shown in the pictures was “a different price,” which is clearly a deceptive tactic to lure in guests under false pretences. The room itself was disgusting: thick dust on the microwave, benchtop, and furniture; stained pillows and blankets; a toilet with leftover faecal matter; and a showerhead tied up with rope—completely unusable. It was absolutely unhygienic and unfit for accommodation. The staff were dismissive and refused to take responsibility. Despite immediately raising my concerns and providing video evidence, they delayed communication and outright refused to refund my money. The communication was poor, unprofessional, and showed no regard for customer well-being. Avoid this place at all costs. It’s falsely advertised, poorly maintained, and run by people who clearly don’t care about guests. I wouldn’t recommend this venue to anyone. Save your money and sanity—stay elsewhere.
