Overall we had a great time. Positives is the included BBQ kit and breakfast kit which were delicious and very fun to do on our own! They also give a bundle of firewood (with more available in the store for 1,000yen but baskets saws and small hatchets are available and you are free to forage your own wood which we did and had some fun doing that until the arm gets tired) and tools needed to easily light it, and a fire pit. We went when it was pretty cold so having the heavy winter coats is a great plus and we used them heavily. Bathroom facility is VERY clean, and the reception area is super cute as well. The cats, while plentiful and friendly, don't really want to cuddle so don't come here expecting that they'll sit on you or anything but that's natural. You really are living in their space. They want heat and snacks (purchase treats from the front desk) so please respect them and their wishes. Additional animals include a couple of goats (the male didn't like me very much - gave me 2 decent headbutts to the thigh), silkie chickens, and 2 dogs you can walk if you like. We did not use the sauna. Staff were very friendly and accommodating but english is VERY limited so be prepared to use google translate or similar. There is a pickup service from Kazusa-Minato station they run (2,000 yen each way) that I recommend, although it was a little jarring to be picked up in a red tesla blasting Tupac after stepping off the train. Otherwise there's not really a bus service that goes there and I couldn't find any taxis on the GO app. The property itself is a work in progress and there is some debris scattered about but the living quarters were warm, clean, and organized so we had no complaints.
