Less than expected

Booked a budget double room. So you get an idea of the rooms so you don’t get conned, the lowest is an economy room, then budget double, then standard double then superior double. Arrived only to be told that we will get an upgrade as our room is not available. Then was told sorry we’re full so you will get the room you booked. Went to the room to see I was given an economy room and not the budget double I booked. Went back down to see the receptionist on the phone to a manager knowing what he’s done in trying to give us a worse room. Was told Agoda made a mistake but they will upgrade to a standard double. Basically, the room we booked they gave to someone else who booked an economy room and wanted us to take their economy room. So make sure you check photos and know what you get is what you paid for. Location was excellent, parking underground and excellent. Standard room was very good and clean. Power of shower was excellent but at 10pm there was no hot water until 2am. My next issue is hotels similar to this hotel using old branded posh bottles but filling it with cheap shampoo and lotions. I saw the cleaner doing this to another room when servicing it and as can be seen in the picture, old bottle used which says “otion” as the L has been wiped out from so much use. The shampoo used was cheap and had no fragrance. Just be honest and don’t pretend you are giving international products. No facilities in the hotel. Poor welcome to the hotel as the receptionist was sat with his friend in the lobby with their legs up on the chair.
