I’ll try keep this short. Booked a double club room. Got given the newer ones (as in the pics) but 1st issue tv wont stream to phone due to WiFi issues. Known issue in a few of the newer rooms which requires some kind of reset by maintenance but as I found this out late at night maintenance was t available to sort it. Not great if what u want to do is check in and relax with your fave Netflix program etc. can’t access the hdmi ports either due to the boxes in style of the tv. Second issue which I found just before bedtime was the internal lock did not work so unable to secure the room. Not great of a solo traveler. Offered to move me into an out of order room but said rather leave and sleep in car. Then the found another club room elsewhere in the hotel.
Agreed to move and had shower, getting into bed and another issue the new room doesn’t have a double. It had 2 singles pushed together. Too late to say anything and too tired so bad night sleep later went to reception on way to gym to be told all older club rooms have those bed. This is not mentioned or advertised. Given option of smaller basic room but due to luggage needs wouldn’t have worked. Had to stay in that room with little choice. Back from gym and room still cold even though I left heating on. After telling 3 people and over an hour later maintenance came to confirm it’s not working and in the time I had to pack up all my things for a second time in case another room move was needed but given a portable heater in the end. Later that evening once I came back the room got really stuffy with no air circulation due to ac/heater not working so now it was a case of waking up very couple house through the night opening and closing window to regulate between staying warm and being able to breath. At this point I was just tired, fed up, and totally ruined my 2 day break.
Over the 2 days stay I spent more time stressing and being uncomfortable to the point I wish I never bothered.
Stayed at a few different Village hotels now but this has got to be the worst sadly.
Oh and to top it off the club rooms have check out at 12 but after 11 key cards stop working so had to go to reception after finding this out the hard way to get my card working again. Just the icing on the cake really. Why do the keys stop working before the check out time? Majority of these issues were mentioned to staff but not even a small gesture of goodwill so all the discomfort, issues faced. I don’t ever look for a freebie but gestures make it feel like they care and want you to be happy. Got the feeling it was more a case of silver the problem and that’s the end disregarding all the trouble, stress, time wasted etc on my part.

There was building work going on and they never told us. We were there for a wedding and that was not very good business.
