    *** and *** of Villa Asimba behaved quite horribly to me. I booked and paid in advance through Agoda for my stay. When I arrived,*** (the owner's sister) told me they had no record of my booking or payment, even though I had a printed copy of my receipt in my hand. Since it was 2am, I begged to stay the night if they had a room free. She agreed only after I paid again (*** USD) for that night. The next day I tried to resolve things with Agoda. But the day after that I awoke to an email from Christine (hotel owner) telling me that I was causing them too much stress and so had to leave. Due to an international event taking place, they knew it would be hard to find anywhere else stay but did not care. Isabelle told me "we want happy guests, you are not happy, so you have to leave". To clarify, the reason I was unhappy was because I had lost about *** USD through booking their hotel online! And my 'unhappiness' manifested as slight stress and requests for assistance in communicating with Agoda. I remained perfectly polite towards them throughout. I have never had a worse experience with hotel management or staff in any hotel anywhere in the world, and I have been travelling extensively in Africa for the past 30 years.
