Vikrant Palace Hotel & Lodging

The hotel is in need of a complete re-development and seems to be very old. We were a nuclear family of 3. We had to book this hotel as no other hotel was available in Solapur city during the peak season of Christmas and New Year holidays. We payed around Rs. 5400 for 2 nights, but the hotel condition is of Rs. 300 per night that I had experienced in Chennai outside of the station. Before this we stayed in Ambajogai at hotel Raj and a basic lodge in Akkalkot as we were on a tour and Solapur was our last stay. Both of these hotel and lodge cost us Rs. 1600 for AC and Rs. 1500 for non-AC respectively and both hotels were far better than Vikrant Palace. When we arrived they gave us a temporary room and said that they will shift is in a better room. The room that was given to us was completely dusty apart from mattress, pillows and blanket. Anywhere else you touch, you will catch dust. The mirror had someone's eyelashes stuck to it, that we may never forget. The lift makes creaking sound while opening door. Lift lights blink as if in horror movie. Next day they gave us another room that was not dusty, but everything else was old, rusted, toilet jet spray not in working condition, fan regulator not in working condition, etc. after informing about the fan regulator and jet spray, they called the electrician and repaired the fan regulator, but not the jet spray. While repairing the floor got messy in front of the main door, which was never cleaned even after telling about it 2 times. The basin had someone else's toothpaste stuck to it. Windows in both the room's bathrooms were broken. Outside of the regular window was completely dusty with cigerette buds lying around the window. If I have to mention Pros: 1. Mattress, pillows and blanket good 2. Mineral water and towels provided 3. Tea given on request (very less and in paper cups) 4. TV with Jio TV connection 5. WiFi available around reception. I.e. if your room is nearby reception, you will receive the WiFi network 6. Hot water for shower and bath Cons: 1. Dusty old rooms 2. Old mirrors deteriorated 3. Furniture deteriorated 4. Washroom accessories rusted and some not in working state 5. Washroom windows broken and rusted 6. Hell lot of dust outside of room windows 7. Multiple requests needs to be made to the staff to get any things done 8. Tea given very less and in small paper cups that too on the door 9. No cleaning once the room is given 10. Basin with someone else toothpaste stuck 11. Shower height very low 12. Telephone not in working condition 13. Breakfast not available at the hotel and for good restaurant you need to walk half a km 14. Room locks not in good state 15. Passage outside rooms is messy with dirt dust and tables Overall, Vikrant Palace is in dire need of redevelopment and better maintenance. Our experience was disappointing, and we would not recommend this hotel to others.

Pathetic.... Spider webs all around the room and toilet... Taps, washer and pot was leaking. No dusting done since ages. Windows broken. Really a nightmare to be in this hotel 🤢🤢🤢
