Was initially met with an upgrade i didn't want because I initially wanted a partial sea view, but they upgraded me to a better room without a view at all. When I brought this up, they quickly upgraded me to a full sea view really nice room, though that benefit was probably more due to low season. However it is a gorgeous location right by the ocean, the only reason I put the location down is because to get to the hotel you need to go through a one lane alley and if it gets busy, it takes forever to leave. Also if you're more for the touristy north or south sections of the island, the drive is still 40-50 minutes away since it is pretty much center of the island in terms length. Convenient 15 minute drive to the airport though. They had a really decent pool that was right next to the beach. A decent complimentary breakfast as well. The lobby was always staffed and cleaning was always quick and thorough. The rooms were large, beds serviceable, and the showers had great pressure and warm water. Would definitely recommend to anyone

I rarely leave negative reviews, but unfortunately I feel I need to share this experience. First, I want to make it clear that I completely understand and respect hotel policies. If the hotel does not allow outside service providers onto the property, that is their decision and I respect that. My issue is not with the rule itself. It is with the way the situation was handled. During my stay, I wanted to book a massage to relax. I could not find any in-house massage service offered by the hotel, so I arranged for a local massage therapist to come to the property. In my experience, if a hotel does not offer massage services, they will often allow an outside therapist to visit after leaving ID at reception. I therefore did not think I was doing anything unusual. The reason I wanted the massage at the hotel was because it was monsoon season and the weather was awful. The rain was absolutely hammering down. My plan was simply to stay at the hotel, have a massage, and then enjoy dinner in the restaurant afterwards. When the therapist arrived, the manager refused to allow her onto the property. Again, I understand that may be hotel policy. What disappointed me was the way both she and I were treated. This was an older local woman trying to earn a living during a difficult season. I have lived in Vietnam for over 12 years, my children are Vietnamese, and I always try to support local people where I can. Despite the pouring rain, the manager would not even allow her to wait inside reception for a few minutes until the weather eased. What bothered me most was the attitude. The way the manager spoke to the therapist and to me made it feel as though he assumed something inappropriate was going on. The therapist was there to provide a legitimate massage service, yet I felt she was being treated with suspicion rather than respect. I am a married man, a father, and someone who spends most of his free time with his family or in the gym. I was simply looking for a massage to unwind during my holiday. Nothing more. Because the therapist was not allowed onto the property, I ended up travelling to her shop in the middle of a tropical downpour. We both got completely soaked. By the time I returned to the hotel, the restaurant had closed, so I missed dinner entirely on my first night. Because of the weather, even ordering food wasn't really an option. What should have been a relaxing evening turned into a frustrating and stressful experience. When I asked to speak to the owner about the situation, I was told, "I'll call them and see if they want to speak to you." I found that response dismissive and unprofessional. I also raised concerns about the customer service I had received. The manager responded by saying, "Sir, it's Vietnam, not England." Having lived in Vietnam for more than 12 years and having stayed at this hotel previously with my wife and children, I found that comment quite disappointing. Respect and good customer service are not English values or Vietnamese values. They are universal values. The frustrating thing is that none of this needed to happen. The manager could have enforced the hotel's policy while still treating people with respect. A polite explanation would have been enough. Allowing an older woman to shelter from the rain for a few minutes would have cost nothing. I actually considered leaving after the first night because the experience put such a dampener on what was supposed to be a peaceful holiday. In the end, I decided to move on and made peace with the manager so I could enjoy the rest of my stay. The hotel itself is nice, and this is why I find the whole situation so disappointing. One manager's attitude completely overshadowed what should have been a relaxing stay. Hotels are entitled to have rules. Nobody is questioning that. But there is a way to enforce rules while still showing kindness, respect, and a bit of humanity. Unfortunately, that was missing here. If I were the owner, I would be conce

Booked for 3 nights, couldn't stay a night, as I met with an accident at the swing in the hotel. Had traumatic brain injury, front lob contusion, back skull fracture. So stayed >4 days in VinMec Intl Hospital, treatment and scans. I learnt i was not the first guest getting hurt. May be not, so severely. But the staff said it had happened before. Surprising, the hotel continues to keep that swing, even after my accident on 12th May 4pm. No change. I wish Agoda dont participate with such negligent hotel where severe hurt can happen now and in past.
