    Found this place in the middle of the night... I didnt have any expectations other than a room with AC... But when I checked in I was pleasantly surprised... I have recommended this place for family and friends visiting both for the location and the price point...

    The room was very spacious and had all the amenities needed for my stay. I had a beautiful pool view room and the room was very clean. Front desk was very responsive to all my needs. I would highly recommend this place to stay.

    My nephew came down from the northeast to Fort Lauderdale and we live in The Villages. I did not want to drive all the way down south Florida so I suggested we meet someplace in the middle. I picked Vero Beach Inn and suites because it had fairly good reviews. it was perfect perfectly midway for both of us and the pictures looked good. We arrived at the hotel early around 11 AM and I knew we wouldn’t get a room yet so I asked if we could use the pool which the front desk lady said yes. My husband and I changed into our bathing suits went out to the pool which was completely empty and the hotel was really a ghost town as we didn’t see one person staying there at 11 AM. When my nephew arrived, I told him to go straight back to the pool, but he was stopped by the front desk person and when he explained he was meeting me back in the pool she told him that I would have to pay an additional amount of money for them to use the pool. I understand policies about visitors, especially during high season. There was literally nobody in the pool, but me and my husband, and frankly the hotel looked empty. There will maybe be six cars in the parking lot. Be that as it may, I was willing to pay a little extra, but they wanted $20 a person and my nephew had his wife and two children so that would’ve meant an extra $60 which is outrageous. My husband spoke to the manager and she was adamant. Now onto the “free“ breakfast. My husband and I woke up the next morning at 7 AM and went to get breakfast which is served from 6 to 9 AM. We were in the food area, which was completely empty except for four or five workers with reflective vests to show that they work there. We get up to the food, open one bin and saw nothing but old grayish colored sausage patties. Not very appetizing. I open the second bin and it’s an empty bin of scrambled eggs. I opened the third bin and it’s the last of what looks to be burnt potato hashbrowns. Again, none of this was appetizing so we walked out and had to go buy breakfast somewhere else. I would not recommend this hotel at all to anyone. The rooms are small and the bed was not comfortable.
