UNA HOTELS MH Matera

I had a very pleasant stay overall, but my arrival experience was unfortunately disappointing. After driving for several hours, I arrived tired and was hoping for a smooth check-in. Unfortunately, the reception staff could not initially find my Agoda booking in their system. I showed them my confirmation, booking number, and all the relevant details, but instead of taking ownership and trying to resolve it, I was asked to find Agoda’s phone number and contact them myself. I was standing at reception for around 30 minutes, and what was most disappointing was the lack of apology or explanation afterwards once the booking was eventually found. I understand that technical issues can happen, but a little more empathy, communication, and willingness to assist would have made a big difference. I also asked if someone could help with my luggage, but I’m not sure if it was misunderstood or simply overlooked. That said, after this initial experience, the rest of my stay was very good. The other reception staff I interacted with were friendly and helpful, and the overall service was good. The hotel itself was very clean, the rooms were spacious and comfortable, with a large wardrobe area, TV, and plenty of space. The facilities were great, including a lovely pool, and the location was very convenient for visiting Matera. Parking was also easy and convenient. The breakfast was good, and overall the hotel offered a comfortable and enjoyable stay. My only negative feedback relates specifically to the first interaction at reception on arrival, where the level of helpfulness and hospitality could have been much better. Despite that, I would still recommend this hotel and appreciate the good service provided by the rest of the staff.

We have wonderful stay at this hotel. The foods are nice and we can hire the shuttle to visit Matera.

New, modern hotel near Matera and Altamura. Unfortunately they had renovation/construction works while we were there, noise starting around 9 am. Great pool and park next to it with waterfall, palm trees, however second day waterfall was not working ( maybe maintenance?) Very good breakfast, many choices. All in all was a good place to stay near the various cities, pity for the noise, otherwise would gave given a higher score.
