We chose to stay at Tulip Hotel as it was the closest accommodation we could find to an event that my companion and I were attending. Here are just some experiences we had:
1. Upon reaching the hotel past 4pm, we were told that we would have to pay extra to get the room immediately or wait till 6pm to be able to check in, in which we decided to do.
2. All the lights were switched off around the public spaces in the hotel, day or night.
3. No house keeping, and we were not able to get clear instructions on where to dispose of our trash.
4. Lil roach under the bed! But thankfully it was only one.
Overall the experience wasn't bad - the hotel room was generally clean other than two bugs, and there was ample space for luggages to be open.
The staff we encountered were still rather friendly, and assisted us with any issues like fixing our the broken door lock strike plate.
It's definitely worthed it if you're planning to stay short term!

So I booked a room with a bathtub, and non smoking. When I came there, I was given a room without windows, no bathtub, and it was smoked a lot inside and the smell was 'hidden' with a perfume. The manager told me she's changing a room for me the next day. And she did, but for an extra cost, denying the pictures on the page of my booking. I had to pay extra to stay in the room I have already paid for. At least they had the option to let me into that room, but it was very close to be a disaster. She was friendly the whole time though.
