Front desk woman was not helpful or accommodating at all to assist me w my booking. My booking was pd & confirmed via email. She stated she could not find my reservation and that many people had recent issues Agoda lately. The issues she stated was that I Agoda was not assigning the property reservation confirmations, and was basically taking customers money that they paid for the reservation and not being helpful or refunding the customers money. I attempted to reach Agoda while I was trying to check in to help me with my reservation while standing at the desk to check in. Due to high volumes, they were unable to assist me. I attempted to wait until they could get back to me but the front desk did not want to wait and wanted me to rebook the room through them for $124 vs the $63 I had already pd. There was a gentleman helping the woman, and he was trying to be accommodating to us, he was trying to help her go through their computer system, and at one point I respelled my name and requested she search for it with my last name first, it seemed it was located bcuz he pointed to something on the screen, but she insisted that was another guest with a variation to my last name (e omitted from the end of my last name. My name is very unique therefor the probability of someone else having my last name is very slim, especially in this small of a town). We decided to leave and book elsewhere. When booking elsewhere, I noticed that the Travelodge had two different property listings on the site with the exact same information except pricing.. I contacted the Travelodge informing them that I believe that this was the root of their problems with myself and the other customers they had mentioned. The front desk lady was very defensive and unwilling to address the issue and was still unwilling to assist me w my reservation . Shortly, there after I got contacted me letting me know that they had spoken to the property, and the property was unwilling to accommodate me at their property at the rate I was given and paid. Agoda refunded me my money and canceled my reservation due to property issues with rates. I believe my reservation was listed at the property in their software but because there was a large sporting tournament in the area that weekend they wanted to get more fir the room. I believe this is what occurred with the other customers also. I have booked with this site 10 times in the last two months and have never had a single issue.
