Endured perhaps my worst stay ever in any hostel. Firstly, I didn’t receive any instructions regarding checking in, and when I arrived, I had to seek the assistance of kind hostel mates. I tried to contact the host on the first day, but none of their lines worked, so I decided to just check into any room, but meanwhile I emailed them to ask for instructions, to which there was zero replies. The next day, I was rudely scolded by the host, who decided to finally appear and questioned why I didn’t call, and I mentioned I did but she insisted I did not. She then rudely questioned whether I understood English, because she pointed at a tiny button outside the entrance which I should have pressed before entering, to which I said I wasn’t given any instructions to press that button. She even wanted me to pay an extra NOK300 because she had to clean up the room I used on the first day. Overall, I’ll never recommend staying in this horribly-staffed hostel, even though it’s in a good location.
