The Uttrayan - luxury meets tranquility

I stayed at The Uttrayan for 2 nights and paid approximately ₹42,000, which included breakfast and dinner. The property has some excellent features, but there are also areas where it falls short, especially considering the price. ### Pros * The staff was polite, courteous, and always willing to help. * The rooms were neat, clean, spacious, and featured large windows with beautiful views. * The property infrastructure is impressive and visually appealing. * The views from the resort are very good, and there are plenty of open spaces and seating areas to relax and enjoy the surroundings. * My 8-year-old child had a wonderful time. There were several other children staying at the resort, and they enjoyed playing together in the park area. * The evening bonfire with live singing was a great experience and one of the highlights of our stay. * There are small eateries and shops located just outside the resort, which gives guests additional food options. ### Cons * The resort appeared to be understaffed, which affected the overall service experience. * Although the rooms were nice, our room did not have a balcony. * The biggest disappointment was the food. * Breakfast and dinner buffet options were very limited. * The quality and taste of the food were average at best. * Since the resort was fully occupied, all guests were seated in a banquet hall-style arrangement for meals, which completely took away the resort dining experience. * Considering the amount charged, the food quality and variety need significant improvement. * Service was inconsistent at times and may disappoint guests expecting a premium resort experience. ### Important Booking Advice If you decide to stay here, I would strongly recommend **not including breakfast and dinner in your booking package**. The à la carte menu offers better choices than the buffet provided under the meal package. In my opinion, guests who prepay for breakfast and dinner are likely to be disappointed by the limited buffet selection. ### Overall Verdict The property itself is beautiful, with excellent infrastructure, good views, and a pleasant atmosphere. However, the service and food do not currently match the premium pricing. If you are carefully saving and planning for a special vacation, I would suggest exploring other options that provide better value for money. However, if budget is not a major concern and your priority is the property's ambience, views, and facilities, then The Uttrayan can still be a worthwhile stay.

Its a good property from Infra perspective but people who are managing it from kitchen to front office to house keeping everybody is incapable and seems under staff

But understaff. And very slow service. Rest rooms are fine
