    We recently stayed at The Tides Mahabalipuram, and it was a highly disappointing experience. The photos on booking websites are extremely manipulative and do not reflect reality. The property is below average at best. The Rooms & View: The room space was extremely small and cramped. For“ocean view" rooms, but they conveniently hide the fact that there are multiple houses blocking the view between your room and the ocean. Service & Staff: There is a severe lack of proper assistance. Room cleaning was only done after multiple follow-ups. While the staff wasn’t explicitly rude, they were not helpful or proactive either. A simple order of two cups of tea took around an hour to arrive because the property has no in-house kitchen, and they had to source the tea from a nearby house. Location & Suitability: The locality itself is not very good. On the positive side, it is easily reachable from the local sightseeing spots. However, due to the lack of amenities and cramped space, this place is absolutely not suitable for couples or family groups. It might barely pass as an option for bachelors who only need a place to crash, but everyone else should look elsewhere.

    Pros: New property. Clean and good room. Staff(Roshan) was helpful. Access to beach. Mr.Prem was also very responsive and helpful. Good if you travel with private vehicle. Cons: Not accessible to any good restaurants. No lift. I would definitely recommend at a lower price.
