    We really loved the location of this hotel! Right on the beach next to Grommet Island Park - family members were able to park at the park and meet us on the beach just a few steps away. Also on the boardwalk, so a lot of dining and entertainment were within walking distance. The hotel and rooms were kept clean - better service than most chain hotels where you don't see the cleaning staff until you check out. Our room was also equipped with a few dishes and a toaster - nice for breakfast on the balcony! We also appreciated that the property is smoke and pet-free - a plus for us with allergies. The only negative is that it's a bit pricey for what you get. Not a lot of extra amenities as the property is somewhat smaller, but everything in VA Beach is expensive, so it was an acceptable value. A note to future guests: The beachfront is near the designated surfing area of the beach, so if you surf, this is where you want to stay. If you don't, but just want to hang out in the sand, you're fine. If you like to swim out to the deep, you'll need to move north a bit. The lifeguards are quite vigilant about keeping swimmers out of the surfing area.

    The view from our room was incredibly scenic, it looked like a painting. Staff was very kind, and the whirlpool tub was quite relaxing. I would definitely stay here again in a future trip to VA Beach.

    Staff was good. JJ allowed us to check in early. Location is good. I loved it at edge of path. There is small park for toddlers and younger once. There was nothing much to offer from hotel other than immediate access to beach. Pool was closed as I visited in Apr.
