    I was there with my elderly mother and we were both happy with the room and the staff at check in and out. Very clean , we were very happy with everything.

    I booked for us and another couple 2 rooms. When we arrived we were given 2 very small attic rooms. The rooms, especially the window was not clean and the whole room very dated. The bath seemed to be renovated but was so small that you barely could get to the toilet. To be fair, when I complaint we were offered free breakfast but when we arrived for breakfast next morning the breakfast room in the basement was completely full. We decided to have breakfast elsewhere. When I complaint the lady at the reception told me I should have read he reviews, then I would have known that attic rooms are a possibility. Very poor service. Definitely not again this hotel.

    Perfect location and area, its not worth paying a really high price as rooms basic however staff really nice

    We were unfortunate enough to be saddled with an attic room. It required going up 4 floors via slim stairs and multiple fire doors. Our room was practically a greenhouse, so we could hardly get any sleep. I realize warm weather is a rare event in Scotland, but it should still be accounted for. All facilities were quite old and neglected, though clean. The rooms could have been greatly improved with minimal investment. For example, why not put up a small shelf above the sink so that there's actually some room for guests to place their toiletries? Breakfast was modest, but to my liking. I think the location is pretty good. Really close to the park and museum.
