    I stayed at The Residency Towers Puducherry in September 2026 and would like to highlight a disappointing experience at the Bike & Barrel restaurant on Tuesday, 8 September. We went to the restaurant at approximately 6:30 PM. Surprisingly, there were no hotel or restaurant staff present to attend to guests. After waiting for almost 30 minutes without anyone approaching us, I went down to the front desk to check whether the restaurant was actually open. The front desk staff confirmed that the restaurant was open and operating until 10:00 PM. He informed me that he would contact the restaurant team and asked us to return upstairs. We did so and waited for another 15 minutes, but unfortunately, no staff member appeared to attend to us. Eventually, we had no choice but to leave. We returned to Bike & Barrel at around 8:00 PM. This time, our order was taken and the food was served. However, after serving the food, the staff did not return to check whether we needed anything else, whether the food was satisfactory, or whether we wanted additional drinks or items. Instead, we could see staff members behind the counter engaged in conversation with their colleagues. For a hotel and restaurant of this positioning, this level of service is disappointing. In the hospitality industry, customer service should be one of the highest priorities. Guests should not have to search for staff simply to determine whether a restaurant is open, nor should they be left unattended after their meals are served. What disappointed me most was not a single service mistake, but the apparent lack of attentiveness and ownership throughout the experience. A simple acknowledgement, regular check-in, and genuine attention to guests would have made a significant difference. I hope the hotel management takes this feedback seriously and reviews the staffing and service standards at Bike & Barrel. The Residency Towers has the potential to provide a much better guest experience, but on this occasion, the restaurant service unfortunately fell well below reasonable expectations.

    By far the best hotel Ive statyed in a long time. The tech was on point!! The rooms have a great iPAD system that actually works. Shower presessure is awesome. Very very courteous staff, right round. From the cleaners to the door man/woman to the service staff at breakfast. Great spread at breakfast. Highlight was a suprisingly great spread even for high tea. Clean rooms, well designed. Strong coffee. And an EV charging station in the building. Perfect way to spend a Birthday. Definitely recommend this hotel to all travellers. You wont be dissapointed.

    The premium room booked was neat & clean except for the washbasin drain blocked which took much efforts to resolve. The view from my room looked up to trash thrown on streets and neighbouring old houses & it seems the hotel is close to be a Muslim area where you wake to loud prayer calls ..!
