    We loved our 2 night stay at the Mayfair. It was the perfect way to reset and recharge after a busy season. Will definitely be back.

    Hotel was very big and spacious and clean. Parking available but for a fee per night. Staff were really friendly. Hotel is quite far from the city main shopping area but with a car, there shouldnt be any issue. Toilet was spacious and clean as well. Would recommend to ppl to stay here

    The room itself is spacious, very clean, and features modern, updated decor. However, realistically, the property feels more like a solid 4-star business hotel rather than a true 5-star experience. The biggest flaw of the stay—and arguably the most critical aspect of any accommodation—was the completely insufficient water pressure in the shower. This was the main letdown of our visit. As for the rest of the experience, there were just a few minor details. We were assigned a room on the 2nd floor, so we occasionally caught a bit of street noise, like a loud car passing by, but it wasn't overly disruptive. Additionally, the front desk staff seemed a bit new and inexperienced. However, they were still polite, and we had no problem communicating with them to get things sorted. For those driving, on-site parking is available for $25 NZD per night, which you just need to arrange at the reception when checking in. Overall, it is a clean stay with good hardware, as long as you adjust your expectations to a business hotel standard and don't mind a weak shower.
