    We had driven down from Bristol and arrived in car park at 5.20 only to find pub shut with no one around. I have never known a pub with accommodation to be shut at that time! However, once we gained access at about 6.00pm , everything started improving. A table was booked for our evening meal, there were plenty of choices and the meal arrived hot, nicely cooked and choice of small or large ! Desserts were imaginative and good, and our breakfast order was taken whilst we were at the table. Next morning breakfast was freshly cooked, just what we had asked for, and enabled us to have an early start. The staff were happy to comply with guests and the one night stay was very enjoyable.

    Had a wonderful stay while attending a local course. Staff were amazing and the bar and food great. Super friendly and very accommodating. Will be back.

    Rooms are ok, bed good, bathroom adequate but could do with freshening. Pub is good, food very good and staff v.good and friendly. Again floor areas of the pub could do with renewing.
