The Hotel Chalet was such a unique place to stay in Chattanooga! We stayed in one of the converted train car rooms, which made the experience especially fun and memorable. The property has so much character, and I loved the history and atmosphere of staying right at the Chattanooga Choo Choo.
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. I do think it’s a little pricey for what you get, but you’re definitely paying for the unique experience and location. If you’re looking for something different from a typical hotel stay, it’s a really cool place to experience at least once. Parking is an additional fee, and can be limited at times.

I have stayed at the Hotel Chalet many times. It’s in a great location close to one of my favorite coffee shops. It’s easy access to the shuttle bus which will take you downtown. The staff is helpful and friendly. The decor is lovely and sets a mood that makes me feel as if I have stepped back in time. This is a very comfortable hotel. The shower provided plenty of hot water and the shower head had a soothing pelt. If I had anything to complain about and this is something specific to me because of aging eyes, it would be that the light is dim inside the rooms. I was hoping to do some reading while there and regretted not bringing my book light.

We loved what felt like going back in time, featuring darker, rich-colored paint, incandescent lighting, and touches reminiscent of the old train travel era. They also have rooms set up inside old, authentic train cars. Tons of water pressure in shower. We found The Hotel Chalet on Choo Choo an enjoyable and very unique experience we wouldn't have found anywhere else and especially fitting for our visit in Chattanooga.

Room was cozy, comfortable and except for the odd art beautifully decorated. It's not all the art, but there are several pieces that are "interesting"; think stylish pencil outline of clowns holding knives. The location is great! Great gym and pool. Location is fun as well. The restaurant, Elsie's Daughter, is worth staying onsite for. Great service. Would book again!
