The Hammock Hotel Global City

The hotel is relatively new, with nicely designed interiors that create a pleasant atmosphere. However, its location is quite inconvenient — about 13 km from town and 21 km from the airport. The surrounding area is still under development, with many empty blocks and no nearby shops, making it feel very isolated. The address is confusing, and our Grab driver had trouble finding the place. We arrived at night, and the lack of street lighting made the area look dark and scary. On top of that, Grab fares to and from the hotel are quite expensive — for the same cost, you could easily get a good hotel in town with better access to amenities. There were also some maintenance issues, such as a clogged shower floor trap that caused water to overflow into the basin area, leaving the floor wet. On the bright side, the hotel provides a simple but satisfying breakfast, complimentary instant noodles in the room, and free access to laundry and dryer facilities — a nice bonus for longer stays.
