We had a great stay at the property. The staff is extremely co-operative and helpful and polite. The location is great, and is at a walking distance from the tram station and two departmental stores.

Very impressed by thus small hotel. It's near the airport but very well connected to the heart of Zurich. Run very efficiently by friendly owner Pico and and his very hard-working assistant Cynthia. Super neat, great place to even just chill. I would stay again if I come to Zurich again.

I recently stayed at The Gate Boutique Hotel Zurich with my family for three nights in early June 2025. Since we traveled around Zurich using public transport, I found the hotel's location very convenient—just a short 5-8 minute walk from the nearest tram and bus station, making it easy to explore the city.
Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Cynthia at reception. She greeted us with a smile and provided excellent assistance throughout the check-in process, which was smooth and hassle-free. Since my room payment was already settled via Agoda, I only needed to pay the city/tourist tax, and I received a proper receipt, just as I had in my previous stay in Switzerland. Cynthia also offered helpful recommendations on places to visit and reminded us to check the weather before planning any outdoor activities, a thoughtful gesture.
We stayed on the second floor, and the building had an elevator, making it easy to manage our big luggage. Our room felt fresh, clean, and had a pleasant scent. It was well-suited for two adults and one child, equipped with a coffee pod machine, a sink to clean cups and plates, and a spacious and comfortable balcony where we enjoyed teatime and dinner together.
During our stay, we also had the pleasure of meeting May, who was cheerful, professional, and always greeted us with a warm smile. She entertained us during breakfast and checked in on us throughout our stay, ensuring we had a great experience. Both Cynthia and May spoke excellent English, making communication easy for my family.
Overall, my family and I had a fantastic experience at this hotel. The staff’s hospitality, attention to detail, and the hotel's convenient location made our stay truly enjoyable. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Zurich
