Extremely Disappointing Experience – Unprofessional Staff, Unexpected Charge and Feeling Unsafe My experience at this hotel was extremely disappointing, and I would strongly advise international travellers to think carefully before staying here. The most serious issue occurred during checkout when the hotel demanded 5,000 THB for an allegedly broken window. I was completely surprised by this accusation because, to the best of my knowledge, nothing was broken or damaged during my stay. Despite my disagreement, I ultimately paid the 5,000 THB because I wanted to avoid further confrontation and resolve the situation. What made the situation even more concerning was the way the staff handled the matter. Instead of calmly discussing the alleged damage, providing clear evidence, or conducting a transparent inspection with me, the situation left me feeling extremely uncomfortable and distrustful. The overall behaviour of the staff throughout my stay was also far from what I would expect from a professional hotel. On several occasions, their attitude felt cold, dismissive, and unwelcoming. Simple requests and questions were not handled with the courtesy or patience one would normally expect from hospitality staff. Most importantly, I eventually reached a point where I did not feel comfortable or safe remaining at the property. I had originally intended to stay through the night, but because of my experience and the way the situation was handled, I decided to leave the hotel at approximately 2:00 AM, despite it being extremely inconvenient to find alternative accommodation at that hour. I want to be clear that I cannot know what would have happened had I stayed longer, and I do not want to make an accusation that I cannot prove. However, after being charged 5,000 THB for damage that I believe I did not cause, I no longer felt confident that I would be treated fairly if any further issue arose. That loss of trust was the main reason I chose to leave in the middle of the night. For a foreign tourist, feeling welcomed, respected, and secure is extremely important. Unfortunately, my experience left me feeling the opposite. The combination of unfriendly staff behaviour, the disputed 5,000 THB damage charge, and the resulting loss of trust made this one of the most uncomfortable hotel experiences I have had. I strongly recommend that management review how damage claims are handled, provide proper evidence and documentation when charging guests, and seriously improve staff training in professional communication, customer service, transparency, and treatment of international guests. I personally would not stay here again, and I would recommend that other foreign travellers exercise caution and consider alternative accommodation.
