We had a very disappointing stay at Edgewater Hotel in Madison. The booking page is misleading — all the photos showcase the new tower, with no warning that you could be assigned to the old building, which sets the wrong expectation from the start.
The quality difference is significant. Our room was dated, the windows were small and dirty, and the bathroom was extremely basic — far below what you’d expect from a hotel that markets itself as one of Madison’s top options.
Overall, we felt we were paying more for very little. Between the misleading listing and the underwhelming room, this stay simply did not justify the price.

Everything about this hotel was fantastic except for two things; the distance I had to walk from outside to get to my room and the fact that when I first arrived in my initial room I placed a special sweater in the closet. I decided to impress my girlfriend and get an upgrade and got a new room. I left the sweater in the 1st room and was told it would be brought to me... It never was no one ever found it I can't imagine what happened to it.

I’ve stayed here many times in the king Langdon suites are really nice, but this room is horrible. I am frustrated that they charge the same price as the nicer Landon king suites. The carpet was dirty. The air-conditioning put out a disgusting smell all night. The layout in size of the Sweet seem smaller and it did not face the water. It faced buildings. It was not very high. I was overall very dissatisfied and enough stayed here many times so I was annoyed that this is how I was treated.
