Upon entering the room, the lock would not lock. There is no handle on the door. Then the smell hit me as I entered. It was a sickly, body odor smell. The carpet was severely stained, and there were dirty, greasy body stains on the wall next to the bed. The bathroom was actually clean, which was surprising given the condition of the room. But as I laid down on the twin bed, two bedbugs were up by the pillow. Well, that was enough. I went to the front desk and the gentleman behind the desk kind of shrugged his shoulders and said “yeah, we have those.” he did make a couple of phone calls to see if there was anything available for the night, but unfortunately almost every hotel room in the city was booked. By this time it was midnight. So I just went onto the airport and slept a little there. This would actually be the second worst hotel room I’ve ever been in in over 60 years of living and traveling regularly for most of my adult life. It wouldn’t take much to replace the carpet because the room was only about 2m wide. Cleaning the walls are even painting over the scuff marks and patching. The holes would not take much effort either. I don’t think the owner/manager cares.

Old beds , mattresses are old and noisy. Old bed linen , dirty towels, no cutlery for tea or coffee. Smells bad, not clean at all. Free parking on booking, but on arrival you are told to pay £10 when parking in front of the hotel. Old , dirty and stinking carpets
