Hi, I was supposed to have received an email with check in instructions and code but I never received it. I am not sure whether this was an error on the Agoda end or the Sonder end. When we got in, we had to ring for someone to help us and it took a lot of trouble to find our booking on their system because we were sent any communication to register and check in. Please look into this. Thanks.

Welcome to the new world of AI. This hotel does not maintain a front desk staff, and they use a check-in app to save a few bucks on labor costs. In my case, the hotel did not send the proper confirmation number, therefore I was unable to check into my room. I called their posted phone number, and their staff was unreachable. I called Agoda to facilitate the check-in process, but the agent told me the property was unreachable as well, and when Agoda finally got someone, the property refused to send me the information needed to use their check in app to my email. After burning 30+ minutes on the phone with Agoda, I ultimately had to request for a refund and book with a new hotel. Lucky for me, Agoda agreed as their own agent was unable to facility check-in with hotel staff. I have been working abroad as an expat for 10 years, and I stay in hotels around 20 to 30 nights a year. This by far was the worst experience I’ve ever had with a hotel. I would say the staff is unprofessional, but I don’t know since they don’t even have front desk staff. Ridiculous, terrible. I did speak with a few other guests while trying to check in outside, and one guy commented to me the hotel’s check-in app is “a real pain in the ass.” The neighborhood itself is located near the city center, but I did get sketchy vibes walking to the hotel. It’s not in an area that I would walk around after dark. My advice: pick a hotel that has staff. Avoid this one, it’s terrible.
