    Stayed here for 3 days and really enjoyed the location and convenience of being near City Hall. Food options are the property cannot be beat, with the Mexican restaurant receiving high marks for service up some excellent food and top shelf margaritas. Looking forward to another visit here, definately recommended.

    We were specifically looking for a place in the vicinity of San Pedro. It was surprisingly nice. Location is a little rundown. Breakfast was alright, not many options honestly (and arguably too western). It's not at a prime location to stay in the context of Davao in general. Shower was pretty mediocre, the water was either "too hot" and "too cold" there was no in between. You nudge the lever a millimeter and it drastically changes the temperature.

    Staying at The Bourke Hotel in Davao City was an absolute delight from start to finish. If you are looking for a place that balances accessibility with a peaceful environment, this boutique hotel hits the sweet spot. The location is genuinely one of its strongest selling points. It is tucked away enough to provide a quiet, relaxing atmosphere away from the heavy street noise, yet it is remarkably close to a wide range of establishments, dining spots, and public transportation options. Getting around the city or grabbing a quick bite outside was completely hassle-free. Mornings were a highlight thanks to the breakfast included in our booking, served at their in-house restaurant, Bramble. The food was fantastic—hearty, filling, and offering a great variety of options to kickstart the day. What truly elevated the experience, however, was the service. Every single staff member—both at the hotel and the restaurant—was exceptionally warm, welcoming, and attentive, making us feel completely at home throughout our stay. The only minor downside we encountered was the smart TV in the room. It tended to disconnect from the internet frequently, which could be frustrating if you wanted to unwind with a show. Fortunately, since we spent most of our days out exploring Davao City, it didn't impact our overall trip very much. Despite the minor TV glitch, The Bourke Hotel's charm, incredible staff, fantastic food at Bramble, and prime location make it a place we would gladly return to and recommend to anyone visiting Davao.

    This is a highly rated hotel and my hopes were up which instantly faced reality upon checking - small reception area, an old lift with detaching wallpaper, physical key, window AC, broken water heater. Nevertheless efforts to provide a vintage feel in the room, can be seen (with wooden shelves, chairs, etc.) and it's appreciated. Inside parking limited and is difficult with constrained maneuvering area (though roadside parking is available). The only saving grace is the free breakfast (may cost an average of Php1,000 if ordering ala carte as walk-ins). Breakfast presentation is great - meals are presented well which makes for good social media photos. When booking hotels, consider the built-in meals cost when comparing room prices. There may be other hotels with much better rooms and similar or better breakfast quality.
