The room was really dated, the chest of drawers had one side you could not open and someone had tried so it was badly scratched. The bathroom door was cracked at the bottom. The room was.cold at 68 degrees in late September with no way to heat it. And this is what we got for about $xxxa night. The restaurant was great. The service was great.

Hotel only cleans every 3 days if you need towels or bathroom tissue you have to contact the front desk, too much to ask the cleaning crew to check. Bathroom curtain smelled sour. On the positive side the hotel is in a great location.

The hotel was nice and vintage the parking was not very good you had to park 2-3 blocks up and around but getting back was annoying and the elevator for the parking area were closed on the weekend wtf

We spent two nights at The Barrington and left with mixed feelings. After a long travel day, checking in late was frustrating, our child's cot wasn't set up, leaving us waiting an hour in the middle of the night. The hotel is so incredibly dated, musty and way overpriced for its condition. While the beds were clean, we found mold in the bathroom, and the sauna was out of order (though we did enjoy a swim in the pool ). The location is convenient, right near the harbour front and close walk to some fun restaurants. We did enjoy two breakfasts at the hotel restaurant . We had the same young waitress both mornings. She shared that she lived in our home town while going to school. She was outstanding, hardworking, exceptionally personable, and effortlessly handling a busy room while other staff complained. Over all I would say for an extra few dollars it would be worthwhile to stay somewhere else.
