The Architect

The hotel is located in great location, near many restaurants in walking distance, and very close to the White House. The room has tight spaces but it’s acceptable for the location and the price. The only downside is there are a few step down to the lobby and the elevator. If you have large suitcases, could be very difficult to carry them down. But overall is worth the stay.

The aitcon is noisy, Especially at night when the city is at rest. Get an inverter type aircon that runs low speed low energy. It will run constantly at a low energe use.

The room was old and dated, but very clean and great deal for the given excellent location.

The Architect was an okay experience. A friend and I went there on New Year’s Eve and maybe that’s why we experienced what we experienced. It’s nice that they have 24/7 check in times so you do have to worry and rush about getting there at a specific time. When we arrived the building was older than we anticipated. The room was a bit older/vintage. Beds were kind of hard and pillows were flat. We asked for extra pillows but never received them. Our toilet was leaking upon arrival and couldn’t get fixed until the following day in the afternoon because facilities weren’t available. Again, New Year’s Eve so maybe that’s was the cause but I’m not sure. We were told about being switched to another room when other people checked out but the staff failed to follow up on that. Our toilet eventually was fixed or the problem fixed itself. Easy access in and out the building and easy check in/out. Building was pretty quiet, neighbors didn’t disturb us. Depending on your bank the deposit return varies but mine came back within a day or two. Don’t think I will return though but overall I give the experience 5/10.
